we noticed some mall differences in the sketch of the eye connected (to the eyebrow) and the newer sketch.
i like the newest face, sharpest nose better, can we see the connected eye on the new face silloutte? leave everything the same except bring the old eye in.
for whatever reason it makes me feel (the orginal eye) that its more defiant like ready for battle.
hi Dina. I think this is the design i am leaning towards.
- serious face (although i'd like copies of the other faces you designed maybe i can create some clever animations or utilize them in different ways)
- the new nose (i noticed this is much more pleasing than the original nose)
- the texture in the hair
- separated eyes and eyebrow (still torn on this one, what do you think)?
Thank you so much for your kind words – that truly means a lot to me.
And no worries, I don’t mind you asking at all.
I had a major stroke five years ago and was completely paralyzed at the time. It took a long recovery, but now I’m doing much better – I walk 4 to 5 kilometers every day, I live independently, and everything I do, I do myself.
The only thing that remains is a partial paralysis on my right side (right-sided hemiparesis), so this rehabilitation I mentioned is mostly for maintaining my current condition and making sure it doesn’t worsen.
Designing has been a huge part of my healing – it keeps me focused, motivated, and connected to people like you :)
Let me know if you’d like to see any other version or color tweak – I’m here for anything you need.
#130 has the eye and eyebrow separated as requested – the expression is now more defined and cleaner in smaller sizes too.
#131 features the refined locs, with smoother, more defined lines (tips still kept natural, of course).
These changes were made to the main gradient version, but I can easily apply the same refinements to the other versions as well, if any of them are selected.
Just one quick note – on Monday, August 4th, I’ll be offline for the day. I’m a person with a disability, and I’ll be traveling to a rehabilitation center, which takes up the whole day.
But no worries – I’ll send you a quick message once I’m settled in. :)
Thank you again for your kind words – your feedback really made my day.
i think they all look amazing and thank you for your hard work.
tracking communication is getting kind of tricky though as I am posting on each design haha.
i would say this is the main design and the winner.
i just had a thought about taking the texture or ripples out of the hair to see how it looked if they were just as sharp as rest of the design.
i think how you made it them is AMAZING and shows the naturalness of them but i'm also sitting here wondering how it would look if they also were as sharp and defined as the rest of the logo. the tips are perfect we don't need to make those sharp but was wondering what it would look like if possible.
it may be something i look at for 2 seconds and say oh no the original is better but i think it would be intriguiging to see the side by side difference. (i almost feel bad asking bc the design is so amazing but i think we should give it a look). :))
i feel lke the eyebrow and eye shouldn't connect. i think thtas whats causing some of the blurriness? I like this look the most bc it shows the warrior nature of what i went through and what we are up against as a society to actually be healthy (especially in the United States).
i think it would be cool to have all the facial expressions finalized but this being the main logo (not this color but this expression). I really love what you did for my brand. I am so much more excited than i was prior! you and logo tournament and my brother saved me (he told me about Logo Tournament!!!).
I’ve just uploaded a version on a white background without the gradient, as you mentioned. I also created full black and white versions—just in case you ever need those for print, embroidery, stamps, or any other single-color applications.
Yes, i do want to take my time even though choosing you is all but a formality. I think it will give me ideas for other logos are typefaces down the line.
You are pretty much it. so lets let the blind phase expire and take it from there. appreciate your communication. so glad i found you.
Thank you again for the great feedback — I really appreciate how involved you both are in the process.
Please take a look at design #114 — it features a more peaceful, serene expression as requested. I hope it captures the calm and grounded energy you were envisioning.
As for the design currently ranked second: if there’s any hesitation about choosing between the two, please don’t worry. If I'm selected as the winner, I’d be happy to provide both versions — one through the LogoTournament handover system, and the other via email. These designs were made specifically for your brand, and I won’t be using them elsewhere, so I’d be truly glad if both could serve you in different ways.
Let me know what you think — I’m here for any further adjustments if needed! 🌿
I love this version as well, it is so defiant and bold. sometimes when i look at the eye and eyebrow for too long though it blurs my vision a little. thats not coming from my brother, that's from me. do you see what I'm talking about? keep this version it can still be a winner. lets try maybe something else with it.
Just wanted to clarify the process on LogoTournament in case it's helpful:
Right now we're still in the blind phase, which lasts about one more day.
After that, you'll be able to select finalists (usually up to 5 designers) to move into the final round, which lasts 3 days. That’s the part where you can really fine-tune the design with the finalists.
After that comes the selection phase, where you’ll work one-on-one with your top pick — and you can still request changes if needed.
Of course, you can declare a winner at any stage if you’ve already found the perfect logo.
Let me know if you have any questions — happy to help however I can! 🙌
Hi! 😊
I've created a new variation with a more zen facial expression as suggested, and also added a version with a subtle gradient on the face to help the DNA element stand out a bit more.
The original logo used Raleway for the typography, but I’ve now explored a few other font options to give the logo a more distinctive tone. The new designs use a mix of Montserrat, Satoshi, and Quicksand — applied only to the gradient face versions for now.
But if you prefer the solid color version of the face, it’s super easy to apply the same fonts there too — just let me know!
Please feel free to check out the new entries and let me know what you think. 😊
Thank you so much for the amazing and thoughtful feedback! 🙏
It truly means a lot — and I really appreciate hearing both your perspective and your brother’s. I love that the design sparked conversation — and I totally relate to the go-go-go vs overthink-it balance! 😄
I'll definitely explore those suggestions:
A more zen and peaceful expression instead of solemn — subtle, but powerful.
A gentle radial or angled gradient around the face/head — just enough to enhance the DNA contrast without overdoing it.
And for the typography, I’ll prep a few options for you to review. No pressure — once you see it, you’ll know if it clicks!
Just a quick note: I’m based in Croatia and it’s currently 8:30 PM here, so I’ll be working on the new versions and sending them tomorrow. That way I can approach the tweaks with fresh eyes and full energy. 😊
If The RezRoots Protocol ever needs a secondary logo or visual tie-in, I’d love to support that too when the time is right.
Thanks again for the kind words and for bringing such a clear, inspiring vision to the table. Can’t wait to share the next round with you! 💚
to be honest i really felt like you hit it out of the park. my brother had an idea just to see there differences such as "Make the expression more zen and less solemn” just to see how it is. but as of right now i think it looks super dope - i almost stopped the contest early.
i love how the DNA is a different color than the rest of the logo. maybe we can play with a light angled or radial gradient in the head / face area. really just nitpicking to see if we can enhance things in any way.
he's the overthinker of the family and i'm more impulsive go go go - but I think it's a good idea for me to pump the breaks and see what else we can squeeze out of this design. 😉
i also have The RezRoots Protocol and not sure if I need a secondary logo for that either now or in the future but not sure the budget allows for it right now. - but something to think about for sure.
As far as typography, as a web designer and digital agency owner - i've constantly chosen typefaces but I'd consider it a weakness of mine. You know, choosing complementary fonts and stuff. What i do know is once I see it - I know i like it. No type faces have popped out to me thus far but I don't have any complaints about what has been chosen.
That's all for now, I forget exactly what the logo tournament process is - i'll look that up right now and see what the next steps are.
Without getting your hopes up too too much , I think its all but official that this will be the logo for my project. Still going to work with the other designers and see what they come up with but this is above and beyond all the other designs - its not close.
Thank you so much! 🙏
I really appreciate your kind words — it means a lot to hear that it actually resembles you! I aimed to blend your vision with the spirit of the brand, and I'm truly happy it resonates with you.
If you have any feedback, ideas, or would like to explore a variation (colors, elements, typography, etc.), feel free to let me know — I’m here to refine it until it’s just right.
