#15 & #16 Arctic landscape. Main tundra peak is 'A' shaped. Rays emanating like sound waves across landscape. Surrounded by a modern version of the Yup'ik hand drum. Please make any suggestions, I am all ears. Quyana, Muz :-)
Muz - thanks for your design and explanation. The rays actually look like Yup'ik dance fans, which we use in our performances. I'm not a fan of the straight on look though. Could you tweak designs that have a semi turned perspective and integrate the design more with the type?
I love the iceberg concept - I wish the iceberg image was integrated more with the company name. Similar to my top ranked pics so far, I like things very simple. This series is totally creative - I understand where you're going with this, but I really need it to be subtle, simple and clean and I believe that you concept can bring it.
#29 using elements of previous design to create a simpler and symetrical image.
#30 Something different. In Inuit language, the 'A' (large blue shape) and 'V' (small blue shape inside) with a hint of a grey circle in the background, creates an interesting and unique shape.
I like the text and how the power symbol is incorporated. Could you do a couple more designs omitting the landscape - with only the text and the power symbol. As you can tell, I like things simple. With that said, the layout of this design is beautiful, its just too busy for what I'm looking for. Strong solid text with a stroke of power symbol genius:) Thank you so much for all of your time and effort.
Entry #36 is solid. Could you center and space out 'RECORDS' similar to Entry # 6; I really like that look. As for the color, what do you think? I like it, but it never hurts to try something new:)
Thanks for the new ranking. Here is #44 with some colour variations #45, #46, #47 & #48. I do like the original blue/grey tone version myself. It hints at icey tundra bleakness colour scheme. You may prefer a more rustic look (browns/greens) or possibly a modern style (purples). It is up to you. I am going to grab a nice hot coffee. Let me know what your thoughts are, and I would be pleased to accept any new idea's that pop into your head.
Thanks for new ranking, Pamyua. #56 is an experiment with traditional art and my text layout. It might be too much, not sure, but I had to give it a bash.
Yeah, I'm more of a fan of Entry #45. With that said, on #45, without changing much, could you make 'ARCTIC VOICE' text slightly gradient or lightly textured. I really like it the way it is, but I think a subtle touch could make it look more distinguished, like its been around, yet here to stay - One thing that I'm visioning is the 'V' in voice beginning a subtle gradient shift reaching its current saturation amount by the 'E' - I'm not sure how this would affect the design - if a mild touch would need to be made to ARCTIC as well? Maybe instead of the gradient idea a subtle organic texture pattern (like antique cracks or an ice block pattern) might work better? The font, dimensions, spacing, colors and edges are awesome. I'm just talking about a super subtle texture and/or fill...
not yet seeing what I'm looking for on the arctic texture. What I'm looking for is even more subtle. Like if the word ARCTIC has been weathered, but remained bold and strong - not sure if that make any sense?
Great work on the gradients. I think it really makes a difference.
I like the gradient part on 'voices' but I'm looking for simpler on 'arctic' versus rougher. We want to portray a distinguished look and my suggestion for more texture is for super duper subtle. I'd prefer 'arctic' to be solid compared to these texture patterns and options. I think my favorites are Entry #68 & #69, but without the lines on 'arctic' - and I'd like the weight of the gray to be more like Entry #44. Thoughts?
#91 I have italicized 'arctic' to enhance the gradient in 'voice'. Creating a sense of movement and a sense of creativity. I agree on subtle, as the text would become ilegible. I was going to box a reversed 'arctic', as another variation, but thought it would be too heavy and it would ruin the balance (ie. older version with boxed 'records'). Plus it would remove the natural feel and flow of the design, making it look too industrial and over-bearing.
#91 & #92 are it - minus the italicized; solid 'arctic' and gradient 'voice.' The only other idea that I thought about was making both 'arctic' and 'voice' gradient.
I'm heading to a tiny village off the Bering Sea (Chevak). I'll be getting online when I can, but it might take me a little longer. Thanks again....
Hi Pamyua Here are the new non-italicized 'arctic' and 'voice' gradient versions #121 & #122. And here is your vision of a full gradient version #123 & #124. The full gradient effect merges the two words. Not sure what you think of that, but it certainly has a nice flow-feel about it.
Safe journey to Chevak, and back. Hope to hear from you soon.
Thank you so much for your revisions. I appreciate all of the time and effort you've put in... Cheers:) I've been working solo til now; I'm going to bring all of the designs to my partners. Thanks again,
