Color Preferences
We work with water, so we want to see the color blue. We are open to different shades of blue/s, but prefer slightly bolder blues over lighter blues.

Logo will mostly be used on a white background color, but should be portable enough to work on light grays and other background colors if needed.

AquaGrade.com is the Yelp of water quality. AquaGrade members test drinking water purity at local restaurants, cafes and coffee shops - and post the results to our website.

Aquagrade’s new website and iPhone app are launching November 2012, and we need a new logo.

We need a logo that can be used across our website, iPhone/Android apps, t-shirts and other physical products, and as a favicon for web browsers. We're not design people ourselves so we don't have specific requirements at a detail level. Generally, we like Google logos such as Google Drive, Chrome, Gmail, Google Music and Google+.

Logo should consist of two parts:

1) A simple, clean icon/graphic/shape.

2) The word “AquaGrade” with a capital “A” and “G” in a sans-serif font.

The “icon” part of the logo and the word “AquaGrade” should be separate from each other. We will use the icon as an app homescreen button, favicon and in other places where it doesn’t make sense to use the full logo. The icon should be clean, simple, minimalist and able to show nicely as a 16px favicon as well as an app homescreen button in iOS and Android. Please design with these uses in mind.

Our company’s goal is to spread awareness of drinking water quality. In that sense we are part health company and part “green” or environmental company. Please take these factors into consideration, but not too much. We don’t want anything too earth or nature-centric.

Logo should be distinctive, bold and easily identifiable at a glance. The icon portion of the logo should be easily seen when used as a browser favicon.
