Hi, I like both #189 a lot. Nice work! Can we try a couple different variations?

-I'd like to see another design with the word "App" letterpressed like this: http://www.arsgrafik.com/letterpress-text-photoshop/

-Can you do one with the word "Themes" using more of a gradient style? http://sixrevisions.com/tutorials/photoshop-tutorials/how-to-make-beautiful-gradient-typography-with-photoshop/

-I'd also like to see some different fonts on the word "Themes". Please try one like the 9rules logo http://9rules.com/ which is Helvetica Bold. I like the drop shadow and shading done on it too.

-Another one I'd like to see is the word "Themes" in Myriad Pro Bold with a drop shadow like the tailrank logo on this page. http://modernl.com/article/great-fonts-for-web-2.0

I'm not sure how some of those will look with the red font. Black, red, or white could work though.

-I'd also like to see one with more layers. Like "App" has the red, white, and black box. Maybe add another silver of color in between the white and black or another layer after the black? What do you think? I'm trying to convey the message that we sell different applications/themes which come in different colors. Not sure if it'll work out once I see it but thought we should give it a shot.

See what you can do with my direction but don't let me stray too far off where the color/styles aren't balanced.

Hi Sean-

I'm really liking #190 but we need some minor tweaks.

1) Remove the play arrow from the logo so the white lines extend all the way across.

2) Then do another one that resembles a blog page. So keep the top and bottom white lines (header and footer), then the middle three lines should be like the blog body and blog sidebar. The left side extend across 75% then stop (body). The right side should be 25% then stop (blog sidebar). I think that will give us the blog/application logo I'm looking for.

I will get right on the revisions Chico. But i wont be able to submit the designs if im not placed in 1st. Only the 1st ranked design can submit revisions after the contest has ended. So i am more than happy to make the revisions but i need to be placed in the proper position to submit the entries.

Hmm....not quite what I was looking for. Keep the white lines like they were before (#190) looking like a stroke that starts big but ends smaller. Do the same for the small sidebar lines too. #420 is the look I want but with the effect I just mentioned. Also the gap should be much smaller between the sidebar lines and the main section.

It's almost like a newspaper look. If this doesn't turn out how I expect it, plan B would be to find another icon to replace the white arrow in the center. What icon would be a good representation of a blog/application?

Hi Sean- We are just about there. #423 is the closest. Instead of the speech bubble, can you put a white gear there instead? I think that best symbolizes apps.

Also do one more with the stroked faded white lines going all the way across (no icon).

I think this round will do it!

One other thing. #423 seems to have a darker border around the grey and red objects. I like it better how you did it in #190.

Yes i will send you all the gear versions of the design thru email. I will send them as .eps and .psd files for you. so you can do with them as you wish. But please remember i have to upload a .jpg and .eps to the website. then after you accept the files and the money is released to me i will then email you the other versions.
