What We Do
We are one of the largest and most active pilot association in North America. Our goal is to promote our shared passion for aviation. The association is managed by a team of dedicated volunteers, all of whom share a deep love of aviation in all its forms.
Although our passion is the promotion of aviation, really, our main goal is to have fun. We are therefore essentially a social community and our logo should reflect this fact (having fun).
Unfortunately, our members are getting older and the world of aviation can be intimidating to newcomers. We need to renew our image to get people to come to talk to us and inquire about aviation. Our pilots love to share.
Top Three Things to Communicate
1. Fun & excitement about flying.
2. Aviation is accessible to anyone, (this is not reserve to high income only).
3. We are a community and love to share our passion.
Our Target Audience:
The flying community is our first audience. We invite anyone to come to join us on several events during the year (BBQ, Fly-in, etc.). Those pilots and spouse are of all ages and from all backgrounds (private, business, airlines, military, etc.)
As said previously, we are looking to attract newcomers. Typically, those would be still working, aged 35 to 55 both men and women. We are competing with their generally busy life, limited budget and large options possibilities to spend their leisure.
Color Preferences
Blue and white, open to suggestions.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
Please see our web site www.apphyjn.com. There, you will see that our logo badly needs a refresh.
The design should be a contemporary, young, progressive look, suitable for use on caps, shirts, pins, bumper stickers and jackets as well as on our website, social media, posters and stationery. It should be simple and show only our abbreviated name: APPH (this how we are known in the community) and reflect the fact that we are pilots.
We are not for profit aviation organization so we are not flying jets and we are in the french part of Canada. Most of our members own light aircraft Cessna type. Please no wings designs, which have been over used.
See a few examples that we like but we are looking for ideas.
