Also t is in the form of a bird (depicting nature and travel)(This comment references Entry #19) 13 years ago Andrew Teakle Client Hi roosdesign,Thank you for submitting your designs. I very much like your letterform mark used in #19 with the bird's head. I'm not sure I would have seen it as a bird without your explanation, though. Would it be possible to use a more 3D effect and to place an "eye" in the bird? I prefer the gold symbol with white font, rather than the all white design of #17.I will need to drop out the words for some products (cards etc.) and just use the letterform mark. I'm wondering how this would work - encircled, on a black oval, no background...??Thanks again,Andrew 13 years ago roosdesign Logo Designer with an eye...how does it feel now? didnt want to make the bird look very obvious as a whole form.(This comment references Entry #25) 13 years ago roosdesign Logo Designer When you are using the logo without words, you can either use it with a black or grey background. Or the best option would be with a shadow against a white background. The black patches might take away the chaarm, we can try one.(This comment references Entry #27) 13 years ago Andrew Teakle Client Hi roosdesign,Looks fabulous with the eye! I actually like it equally on the black and white backgrounds, which is great because I'll need to use it frequently on a white background. The drop shadow works fine. My only real query is with the font. I normally really love the clean sans serif style you have chosen, and it reflects the simple, uncluttered compositions of my photography. I don't think andrew and teakle are separated quite enough. Would it be possible to try a more classic font, possibly small caps with Andrew and Teakle in different colours, and photography in a smaller font below it?Best regards,Andrew 13 years ago roosdesign Logo Designer in the last 2 submitted files, Andrew Teakle are in small caps and different colors, the photography below are in different sizes. Let me know which one did you like more, I will make the same for white background. Any other changes, please let me know.(This comment references Entry #36) 13 years ago Andrew Teakle Client #37 with the smallest font used on "photography" is my preference. Nice font - sans serif caps, clean lined. Is it possible to align right "photography", make it the same width as "Teakle", keep it white, but place a white underline (from sharp point, growing slightly in thickness) under "Andrew".Thanks again,Andrew 13 years ago roosdesign Logo Designer is it as per you needed?(This comment references Entry #38) 13 years ago roosdesign Logo Designer swaped the colors of Andrew and Teakle(This comment references Entry #39) 13 years ago Andrew Teakle Client Hi roosdesign,Upon reflection, could I ask you to try a few last minute variations to ensure we have the logo just right?Would you be able to see #39, #37 and #36 with a more compressed colour range in the gradient within the words. The colour in the bird is fine. Love the colour gradient in the bird. Also could I ask you to revisit the shape of the letterform mark? I'd like to see a variation that has the strong horizontal line more arching, so that the overall ratio of the letterform mark is taller and less broad. Or perhaps more to the point, so that the motion is not so strong and fast moving to the right of page. Thanks again for your great work,Andrew 13 years ago roosdesign Logo Designer Have tried to reshape the logo as you have described. The gradient in the words are now more compressed and have tried to lessen the motion... Let me know if this is what you are looking for. 13 years ago roosdesign Logo Designer Have tried to reshape the logo as you have described. The gradient in the words are now more compressed and have tried to lessen the motion...Let me know if this is what you are looking for.(This comment references Entry #97) 13 years ago Andrew Teakle Client Hi roosdesign,Thanks for the revision, however I think you nailed it the first time. Still going with #38 at this stage. If this finishes #1, are you able to provide this on black background, white background, and just the letterform mark without text?Best regards,Andrew 13 years ago Andrew Teakle Client Hi Roosdesign (again),Just spoke with my business partner and we've decided to go with #38. Congratulations! It's a beautiful design and captures the spirit of my nature photography perfectly.Just wondering if you could tweak it again, just slightly. Could we try it with the left "leg" of the A at the same base level as the right leg (so the would both sit on an imaginary horizontal line). Also, could you please make the gradient of colours for the text a little less extreme: finishing slightly less reddish, slightly more orange.Congratulations again and thank you for a wonderful design wihich will represent my artwork for many years to come.Best regards,Andrew 13 years ago roosdesign Logo Designer Yes I will be able to provide the logos in black as well as white background. Just the letterform against white background will have a drop shadow. I am doing the changes as suggested by you in your next message and will send you in a while. The reason making the gradient colours extreme in the text was that when it is against the white background, it should still be easily readable.(drop shadow wont be on the text) I will also make it finish orangish and check if its still readable. Thanks for appreciating my design. 13 years ago roosdesign Logo Designer Have made the changes in the text colour. The letter form - When I try to match the level of left leg with the right one, the motion and the inside space is reduced. How does it look here? Can't straighten it much.(This comment references Entry #114) 13 years ago roosdesign Logo Designer An option - Have lowered the left leg a little but not as the same level as the right one. How does it look here?(This comment references Entry #115) 13 years ago roosdesign Logo Designer Hi AndrewI have uploaded 4 eps files and 4 jpg files. I am not sure if all 8 have uploaded or they got replaced with only the last two. Let me know. The eps and jpg files should be1. Final logo2. Final logo in white bg3. Letterform in black bg4. Letterform in white bgBest Regards, roosdesign 13 years ago Andrew Teakle Client Hi roosdesign,Thanks for uploading the files. Only one EPS uploaded and 3 jpgs. They were very small and only included the letterform mark, no text. Could you please uplooad the other EPS files. I actually need them in vector format rather than raster form (as jpegs are) so I can scale them up to billboard size without pixellation. This is what EPS does, isn't it?? JPEGs are fine too, I guess, for showing off to my friends. Thanks again, and congrats on your first win on logotournament. I'm sure it won't be the last.Best regards,Andrew 13 years ago
