@shawneric - it would be very helpful to know more about Pokeadotz as well as how you hope to position Anchored Concepts in relation to that product. For example, do you intend for your Anchored Concepts branding to make direct reference - visually or otherwise, to your wall hanging device or would you rather it be more suggestive of product design/problem solving in general? If you are looking for a more direct reference, we might need to know a bit more about Pokeadotz itself. The more information you can put into your brief, the better the outcome will likely be.

Thank you for the post, and I apologize for the consfusion on our initial description. Anchored Concepts has several products, however, Pokeadotz will be the first to market. Having said that, we are looking for a logo specifically for Pokeadotz.

Pokeadotz are a pattern transfer device that allow a user to locate precisly where to mount, or locate anything on a surface. (ie pictures, mirrors, curtain rods, TV's, paper towel despensers, towel racks, ect.) For example, a picture may have two mounting rings on the back of the frame. By placing a pokeadot in the same location for each mounting ring, a consumer can position the frame on the wall as they desire, and the pokeadotz will leave two "dots" on the wall showing the consumer exactly where the nails or screws need to be placed. Keep in mind that the mounting rings can be located anywhere on the back of the frame. The Pokeadotz simply transfer their location from the back of the frame to the wall, so a consumer can hang it in the correct position, the first time, every time.

One other thing to add: We want the logo tied exclusively to Pokeadotz, and not to Anchored Concepts. All of the descriptors on the brief are related to Pokeadotz.

So, if the logo is exclusively for Pokeadotz, do you NOT want "Anchored Concepts" mentioned anywhere in the logo itself? Just making absolutely sure...

Thanks,
Andi

You are correct Andi. We do not want Anchored Concepts mentioned in the logo itself. Thank you for your thoroughness, it is very much appreciated.

We are on the right track by hiding the polka dot pattern in abstract, so that the name brings the pattern to life. We would like to stay away from the "typical" polka dot pattern. Although, we like the playfulness of #3...maybe with the simplicity of #7, and #5?

All of the logos look great...Simplicity is there, now lets add playful. we would like to see a spherical symbol that is fun and playful. An icon, that represents Pokeadotz. The dotz themselves are spherical, and the idea is simple yet genius! Playful will emphasize those qualities. :-)

We've nailed it down to the top 20. These are our favorite so far, although every entry is great. All of you do spectacular designs, and we wish you the best on all of your other contests.

Now that we are down to the the last few hours, I would like to still encourage you to submit improvements or new designs based on our top twenty. We have yet to decide on a winner. Good luck to everyone!! :-)
