Your on a roll, I love your style. On 42 can you tilt the anchor, beef up the anchor, leave the right hand, looks great, but her left arm needs to look more relaxed on the anchor. Try one with your great Martini glass you have in 41. I guess I kind of want her to be looser and and throwing her head back .But at the same time I like the attitude she has. How about on # 41 making it a bit more Nautical like 44 with bubbles, seaweed, a octopus. SHE looks hot
I'll get to work on those revisions for you. It sounds like you are looking for a more active design, as opposed to the posed pin up look. Thanks for the feedback, it helps a lot!
Ok, you are doing great! Looks killer leaning back like that. Keep her, but experiment on another with Some rope on the Anchor, bubbles, (tilt the Anchor a bit to the right?) Can you do a Tattoo on her arm, or would that be copying anothers work. What do you think about seaweed frame like you did on #41 or are we getting too busy?
I've added my own version of the tattoo, one is an anchor and one is a mermaid. I've also adjusted her position. I've also brightened up the colors a bit.
A version with the octopus, seaweed, rock and corral. Is that what you had in mind? The more I look at this design, I can see this pin up as a promotional fake tattoo...if you were so inclined. :)
Ok,, your great! Let's back track. #45 was the first version, then you tilted the anchor which I like on 54. But in tiltling the Anchor she got smaller-so make her a bit bigger. Also the Martini glass and olive stick got smaller and less defined. And I would also like to see a version of her leaning back in the tilted anchor 54 like she is in 45. Finally, not liking the tatto, can you make it more clear, just a sharp anchor with no dots/stars. How about a just a Anchor, difficult to see. I also like the Mona Lisa and the seaweed version also. But lets focus on modifiying 54 & 45
I've enlarged the martini glass, it might not be to exact scale, but I think it helps emphasize the drink. I've also enlarged the girl, I think that helped a lot. I'm not sure I understand, but would you like me to take the female pose that I have here and rotate it into the leaning back position I have in #45?
Good Job Melinda! I like it. Now in the next few days ponder up some fresh ideas on that tattoo. I think the whole logo is great, but we may be over doing on the Anhor Everywhere. I know I asked for it, I know you gave me a starfish , mermaid etc. But I think the right tattoo, color change or something would be a home run.
Are you looking for a color change in the overall design, or just the tattoo? Here are some tattoos I came up with. The readability of the tattoo heavily depends on the size you will be printing your logo. If the tattoo needs to read well large and small, it has be very simplistic (like the heart, or even the heart/anchor combo). If you want a realistic, detailed tattoo, it will only reproduce well at larger sizes. I've used the octopus from my other designs as a tattoo and it actually looks really cool, but you can not see the detail in this tiny thumbnail. If you would like see the larger version you can private message me by clicking on my profile. Other ideas for the tattoo...cherries, swallow, ship, skull and cross bones, etc.
I saw you asked Hummingbird for a version like this, with the rope border you liked from my previous entries (#41, #57). I've added border to the anchor pose you liked. Just to give you another option. This is a very versatile character and it works with the border as well. Breaking the border with the kicking legs gives an additional element of fun. ;)
Let me explain my concept overall concept a bit. I've uploaded a version with the martini glass, for your consideration. The girl in the martini glass is a pretty popular choice of imagery for bars/lounges and I've seen it a variety of ways. In my version, and in all of my design concepts I made sure to keep the design vintage pin-up. She is classy and subtly sexy without showing too much skin or anatomy. Her coy expression alludes to the possibility of more. I wanted this design to feel a little bit like a tattoo, a vintage Sailor Jerry type tattoo. A truly vintage design like this will give your customers the impression of quality, stability and the possibility of a great time. The banners I've designed also cement the vintage appeal...even the tattoo options I've supplied are actual vintage sailor tattoos from the 1950s...they have meaning and a classic appeal. Like I said before, I envision this logo being could be used in variety of ways...fake promotional tattoos, t-shirts, coasters, fliers, window decals, stickers, menus, etc.
