The brand is an automobile insurance company.
The target audience is customers who are buying insurance policies. Those customers will be examining our logo, and we want them to feel assured that the company is established and professional.

Our Ideas & Additional Information
I like the simplicity of the big letter "A" with the lines in the attached files with only an "A," as well as in "Apc."
I like the lines through the "A" that can be a subtle or hidden reference to streets for automobiles as we are an automobile insurance company.
The company's name has "American" in it, so it would be preferable to use Red, White, and Blue colors to create the logo.
I like the simplicity and elegance of the flag logo, and I like the plainness of the "AXA" logo,
I am not sure if I want "American Property & Casualty" to be written in the logo, but if it is, I would prefer "American" to be written larger and bolder than "Property & Casualty."
It may be good for the logo to be contained inside or within the "A" of the word "American."
