On white background. Here the white outline is converted into a light grey. Why we do this is to secure the integrity of the logo. This is useful if there are patterns/variations in the background that interfere with the design.

I think if you are ranked number 1 you can still submit designs. I like you're entry 113, but wondering if you had a crest more like the others that is in the shape of a badge or helmet shield. Is it possible to get a few mark ups? You'll see those ranked shortly thereafter 1

I like the way you did the text (the shading and highlights) 119 looks awesome! Any way to perhaps make the gradient halo effect behind the entire logo a bit more pronounced, or even one of those cool downward reflections . the last variation (can I turn it on and off perhaps) is the flame. Can I see one without the flame. I really appreciate the "tweeks" Looks cool. The text effect is what I like the most.

Hi,

not 100% sure I understand exactly the "halo effect behind the whole logo"
The blue gradient (halo?) effect is not a part of the logo (if you want I can make it so, of course) this "background" presentation is just something we designer do, in order to let you, the client, judge the logo readability and that it is presentable on other "surfaces".

I will increase the "halo" shine. ;-)

The Flame - Definitively something you can turn on/off. All our (n.b. my firm) original files consists of named layers, in order to make it easy for the client to do just that. You only need a vector program like Adobe Illustrator or Inkscape (free pgm) to access the layered view.

I can turn it of - But need to be #1 in order to post designs.. of course. (I'll wait..)

The text effect is different in this logo due to the fact I'm using another technique than most designers. Normally we (designers) just mark an area/layer and set the Illustrator to use gradient. (Yes, we are lazy by nature... ;-). In this logo I created a special blend mode and a masking technique - Something that normally is used by airbrush artist in real life to create chrome effect. (you now hot rod painters for example). So yes it is a little different.

N.B.
1. This logo (All logos with gradients/gloss) can not easily be transformed into embroidery applications.
2. All our (my firm) logos are delivered in CMYK colour space - Meaning they are prepared for printing and secured for RGB (screen) viewing. Colour likeness is high between print/screen - No adjustment needed.
3. A monochrome version is ALWAYS part of our (my firm) package - In this case a grayscale version. Pure black/white can not be created unless we drop all gradients/gloss and redesign the logo for 2-colours.
4. You will also get a number of JPG and PNG (transparent) files in our package (my firm) so you can start using your logo directly. Normally you use the original vector file to produce new JPG, PNG and so on...

Just wanted you to know.
