As one of the finalists, I wanted to give you a bit more context for this phase of the contest. Our organization already has a national presence and we are working to become the preeminent association for interpreters and translators in education in the United States, a rapidly developing field. We will be launching our new name, logo and website officially in a month. So the work you are doing is really important to us. We are looking for an iconic logo that will, over time, become associated with a highly professional and respected organization. So we want it to look professional, to stand out, and to be memorable. You can see from the designers we picked that we are considering versions that are closer to our original logo as well as variations on the graduation cap and hassle idea. We have a strong liking for the dark green - but we also really like the silver on orange colors in one of the other designs submitted. We are open to other color combinations that are elegant and combine well - with the exception of a lot of blue, because that color is truly overused in the interpreting profession already. From this phase what we would to see is: 1. A circle shaped logo for the social media version - especially because it allows you, as the designer, to display our full name even for social media. And it evokes the feeling of a seal, which goes well with education. We think the way you've handled our name in this logo really stands out but we don't like the inside as much. The white lines take away from the logo name and the background green is maybe too dark. 2. A horizontal version with the name handled in a compact but still visible way. 3. Your creativity and talent! We’ll be watching for your revisions and will provide comments. Thank you so much! 3 years ago girikedaton commented on #61 Withdrawn Oke thank you 3 years ago chatterbox commented on #61 Withdrawn Hi there - we are about to go into the 5-designer phase. You are one of them! We have ideas we'll communicate out after this phase closes! Thank you so much for your submissions. 3 years ago girikedaton commented on #183 Withdrawn please check revision 3 years ago chatterbox commented on #183 Withdrawn Is there a darker shade of purple we can use? 3 years ago girikedaton commented on #38 Withdrawn oke. Thank you 3 years ago chatterbox commented on #38 Withdrawn thank you so much for the color revisions. This logo is in our top 5 - so I don't want to ask you to do much more until we go into the next phase. I appreciate your variations! 3 years ago girikedaton commented on #167 Withdrawn please check revision 3 years ago chatterbox commented on #167 Withdrawn It still seems like it’s too much purple. I think our main color is really supposed to be green with just a splash or highlight of the other color. Can you play around with it a little bit more? Maybe the whole cap green as well. Or if you think there is a different place to put some purple highlights while keeping it mostly green. 3 years ago girikedaton commented on #78 Withdrawn please check revision 3 years ago chatterbox commented on #78 Withdrawn I like this color combination, but it’s probably too much purple, can you make the AAITE green to help green become the main color? 3 years ago girikedaton commented on #42 Withdrawn please check revision 3 years ago girikedaton commented on #61 Withdrawn please check revision 3 years ago chatterbox commented on #42 Withdrawn Can we also see this with a Green and purple combination? 3 years ago chatterbox commented on #61 Withdrawn Can we also see green and purple? Maybe the Interpreters and Translators in Green to highlight that portion even more? 3 years ago girikedaton commented on #51 Withdrawn please check revision 3 years ago chatterbox commented on #51 Withdrawn Thank you for playing with colors. We are trying to find that mix that works. This is a too Christmassy ' I don´t know if a teal blue for the letters, or a shade of gold brown would be terrible. We need to see more options. Thank you! 3 years ago girikedaton commented on #43 Withdrawn please check revision 3 years ago chatterbox commented on #43 Withdrawn Can you invert the colors so the red calls attention to the IT? And the cap is green? 3 years ago girikedaton commented on #38 Withdrawn please check revision 3 years ago chatterbox commented on #38 Withdrawn Nice. Thank you - could we see what this would look like with a dark, rich red rather than the orange? 3 years ago chatterbox commented on #21 Withdrawn This is also very clean and crisp. Do you think you can achieve that putting the letters AAITE in the cap itself, in the space under the brim? Thank you! 3 years ago chatterbox commented on #20 Withdrawn Hi there - we like this logo! It's clean, crisp and dynamic. We'd love to see some color options, green with a complementary other color and also see if there is a way to emphasize Interpreters and Translators more than American Association. Thanks for submitting a design! 3 years ago
