thanks for the entry. I really like it. Try it with a white background and make the writing just a little darker. Try to make the word dental a little bigger, bolder and darker. It think the way you have it would look great for a website but for print I am worried it will look too washed out. I like the font and the seahorse.
thanks for the feedback. glad you like it:) posting revised file as you requested. please let me know if you have any revisions or anything you might want included.
I still really like it but I am concerned the colors won't stand out enough on a sign or on letterhead. Can you try a couple of other colors that are a bit more vibrant and darker. Can you make the word dental a bit bigger so it stands out more?
you might have noticed that I didn't change much the size of the word 'dental' but instead spaced it out a little bit more. i think anything bigger starts to draw more attention to it than the name itself. also changed the colors to purple to make the name stand out more while still retaining that cool and soothing impression that you're trying to achieve. :)
try a reverse on the colors making the sea horse and dental the darker color and amelia island the lighter color. can you also try a shade of blue for the lighter color. I don't mind if attention is drawn to the word dental because I want it to be obvious that it is a dental office. Amelia Island is a resort area and I don't want there to be any confusion as to what my sign is advertising.
can you try making the sea turtle a tiny bit smaller and try rotating it to the left a bit so you can make the size of the words the same or close to the one with the seahorse.
I like the size of the font in #143 & #93 could you shrink the turtle in #123...want to see how small it has to be in order to have similar size font.
Also, how big of a deal is it to add and remove background colors? We would like a background color for our website....but do not want in our print material.
Would a print company be able to determine the font, color etc..from the logo file? Will need to create letter head, business cards, marketing material.
Files will be sent in .eps format which means it comes with a transparent background so you can place it on any colored background. The color info is retained within the file and the font will be no issue as it will be treated as one graphic as long as the fonts are converted to symbols. I think you can ask for two versions of the logo - one that works on a dark background and one that works on a lighter one. Images in .jpg, .png, and/or .gif can be provided too if requested. :)
I noticed on the turtle's back on #144 there is only one vertical line where the other turtles have two. Is it possible to put another line vertically on the back so it looks like the other turtles
Thanks. Yes, I can give you a couple of options for the background colors. It will depend upon your color scheme or the theme you choose for your website though. The current logo works on a light background. I can give you one in reversed colors if requested. I can also change the logo's colors to suit the color scheme that you prefer.
We have not started our website yet...the idea for a color scheme is to have cool ocean/sea colors (colors that make people feel calm) the more examples the better.
I don't know if it's allowed to post sites here but you can take a look at www.colorcombos.com for some color schemes you might like. I will upload some along with the logo. I think blue, green and purple gives that cool calming effect you want.
Yes, the font in #193 is white. It's a safe bet to use for darker backgrounds. I believe you can request for different color versions of the logo such as black and white, white on black, and the original color so you can use it on different backgrounds.
