It is quite difficult to rank only 3 designs...in fact only 2 ideas... #2 is closest to what should be,clean and elegant, but still not what what we are looking for...I like the sun rays over the mountain, but not the shape of the mountain, looks like a party hat, maybe you can look more at the old logo, just for the shape, or the real photos of the mountain on the website...It is not clear that there are two oceans, the Atlantic and Pacific are at different heights, maybe that info helps...Not crazy about the typeface, too common...Might want to add a Web 2.0 style text reflection effect.
Maybe you can also try using the letter A from "Altos" as the mountain....some variation on that theme....
Thank you, would really love to see more !

I understand your situation here. I hope you don't mind to wait, usually many designs submitted just in the last time before your contest close. There are two way to make your contest may become a party, first you can invite some designers you like by PM, and the second is increasing the prize while you are starting to extend the contest time. Hope it can help you much. Anyway, here is my newest work based on your latest direction, thank you - ian

I understand your difficulties here in LT. If I may give suggestion, you can start to invite some designers you like to join in your contest. Otherwise, while you try to extend the contest time, increasing amount of the contest prize may can make more designers interested.
Anyway, here is my newest work based on your feedback. I'll always happy to hear your opinion about my work as you've done before, thank you.

Thank you for your comments, Ian.... your new designs are going in the right direction.....probably my favorite would be #5 for size and color, but I find the full name inside the mountain is too crowded......maybe you can play on writing the two words one inside and one outside the mountain.... I was thinking a mirror reflection of the text (like a reflection in the water)...#16 I think has the best layout, but it is too washed out....
Can we try maybe the "i" in Escondidos as a wind turbine instead of the leaf ??? just a few more ideas, I think you already got the general message and I like your work and appreciate your involvement; I'm sure we can get somewhere....Need a WOW!!! element !!! Thank you, hope you will try a few more versions.

#18 just came in....I like that direction also.....I don't know about the leaf, it doesn't look tropical....it is a tropical setting with rainforest and also orchids....maybe you can use an orchid instead....but it does look more modern already... still I don't know about the typeface, I think I prefer no gradient inside but mirror reflection of the text or some play on the significance of "hidden" (escondidos)...

Thank you, these are really good, both #35 & #38, just need some fine tuning....
#35 I don't like the font because the D is too narrow and "NDID" becomes very crowded....the font in #38 is much better.
#35 - The hidden "s" in Altos is maybe too hidden, should show a little bit more (maybe just move the word a little bit higher) and the reflection needs to show a little more (like in #38)

#38 - Like the idea, maybe again the mountain needs to be pulled down a little so it doesn't hide too much of the word "Altos" and the ocean shape under letter "O" doesn't make it look like a "Q". I also find there is too much solid black, maybe you can play with some color or gradient on the mountain.

Let's focus on these two, please give us a few more versions , you are the only one who really got the message here, and are very close !
Thank you so much, you are doing a great job !

#38 - I looked again....the "A" in ALTOS is too pointy, think you need something like in #2... and maybe the whole word is too big and heavy....
Regarding color, how about ALTOS in apple green and the mountain teal green gradient instead of black ....
a little lighter, mysterious.....spiritual..... and maybe just the hint of the sun to justify the sun rays over the mountain....
Thanks again !

I just noticed one more thing on #35....the mountain-oceans layout is almost identical to #16, but the ocean line in the back is shorter....please use the exact design from #16, it looks better...

Thank you so much...still #48 is best until now, we received some comments that it is too much , maybe can be simplified....definitely not more like #80, 83, 84.... The font is ok, I am not quite sure what else to say, some of our partners are thinking that it is too realistic and too much ....do you have any idea how to make it simpler without losing the message ?
I appreciate your responses and interest .....

Here is my newest concept that totally different then my current designs to reviewed. If I may explain a bit, two blue waves represent two 'different deep' oceans while light green represent an eco 'healthy' wave in the island. Thank you.

By taking a benefit of O position, I try to put the sun in it. It just like a nice touch of design that may entertain audience.

Thank you, love both #48 & #157....in #157 would like "Altos" a little smaller...and no gradients in the fonts, just flat color! Also need a version on dark ground (navy or charcoal), maybe the greens should be a little brighter .

I know we went through all kinds of ideas...I still think these are the best !
