#166. This is a very modern and whimsical style without being too cartoonish. It is a very unique logo that will make you stand apart from all the other real estate company logos with the typical house/roof combo. That has been done like a million times. This color and style will pop out at the first time home buyer and will catch their attention. It is a casual style but still very professional which is important in your line of business. Please let me know what you think. Thanks!!
This is a total departure from what is "traditional" but we like it. Could you take the person out of the house and just add a door? If you add a door, should it be balanced with a window on either side? We like the mix of color and it really catches our eye!
I think the casual style of this logo will help attract first time home buyers. You don't want the logo to make it seem that it is out of their reach. If the logo looks to corporate or the house looks too huge, they will think this is not the right company to call. I think the more casual approach appeals to a greater amount of people.
Ok, I will do that. I like the house ...just was looking at the others you have placed higher. They seem to be larger and more serious looking. I think the casual style relates better so ill keep it this way for now. Just let me know what I can do. I want you to get the exact logo you are looking for :) Thanks a bunch, Carol.
We are very conflicted on which direction to take in regards to the more serious look of the logo versus a more inforrmal and creative look. A balance of the two woudl be perfect. I think if yours could be a little more serious, while still appealing to the less serious side, that would be great. To give you an idea, we have represented the American Red Cross, Wal-Mart, Wendy's and Dunkin Donuts. We also work with local (doctors, dentists and attorneys as an example) and regional companies (more so that the big names above). Most of our housing sales are first timers and new construction that is less than $400,000 (A mid-range home here). Our local competitors, not unlike ourselves have poorly designed logos. I want to step above that and this is the perfect time for us to re-brand! I really thank you for the work you have done. Coming from someone with little creative-side, this is fantastic!
Thanks for the info. I will work on a revision for you. I will make it a little more professional. Just don't want to take it too far so it will look like every other real estate logo. They all start to look the same :) You want to stand out from the crowd,
I just worked on a revision but it won't let me submit it. Can you put my design in #1 just for a little bit so I can submit the revision? Also, as you can see some other designers are now using green, yellow, trees and a sun in their logos. This was my idea to make your logo seem more in tune with a community feeling. It is really frustrating when designers start copying ideas in the last stage of the contest. I don't do these contests very often because this seems to happen quite a bit. I hope you will keep this in mind and award originality. I will be glad to show you my revision if I can send it to you or if you can put me in the #1 spot temporarily so I can submit it. Thank you :)
If you are comfortable emailing the design to us, please do. I will not use it in any way whatsoever- this is only for the purpose of reviewing the design and I take all your comments above to heart and I can certainly see your point. It seems like a lot of designers were "ripping off" ideas from others work- not good.
If that works for you, my email address is Fred3@allynrealtors.com and I am on my computer now so I will review ASAP and get back to you! Thank you so much for your efforts, Fred Allyn III
After receiving feedback from 30-35 people involved in or advising my company, it came down to "how will people in Eastern Connecticut feel about these two designs?". It was the concensus that your logo was creative, unique and colorful- however most felt it was better suited to the less conservative markets of Hartford or Boston. I am thankful that you participated, despite the challenges you faced! My wife looked at your logo file and loved what you did and I'm glad you were willing to be involved. I would refer your skills to anyone looking for a company logo! Best regars, Fred Allyn III
