#24: I want the entire logo to be extremely understandable and readable. This is more important than a cool appearance. I therefore prefer more standard fonts in the name-part of the logo. The same thing with the mascot. Could you try to change it so everybody will see that this is a "tough guy". You could start by simply removing the second face (the smaller above). OK?
#26: This is a promising concept. I like the logo (word). The shape of the frame around the mascot can work nicely, it gives associations to the silver mine emblem http://www.norsk-bergverksmuseum.no The race will go throug these silver mine tunnels. The face of the mascot is not right yet. It gives me associations to a young upset and angry criminal. I want him to be older and give the impression of "good and positive energy and aggression".
#26 is still your best entry. It is difficult to advice what to do witht the face of the mascot. My best advice would probably be to see if you can use a young version of Clint Eastwood. Thanks again for trying, I apprieciate it!
#52: I do like the principle behind this mascot, the use of the lines, instead of the "black fill". (Sorry for my English, it doesn’t cover a vocabulary to discuss logo design).
But, I am sorry to say that I don’t really like the mascot itself. It makes me think about prehistoric humans, Neanderthals. Please continue to play with different mascots, because you are on the track of something here!
#53 is very good! But the mascot is still too kind and friendly. He is not really the alpha man. But the concept of this mascot (the lines) is very very good! The hair is perhaps too long. Please try to make a more angry version of this mascot!
Take a look at #20. This is the mascot with the appearance that is closest to the alpha male.
#58 is probably the best so far. We want to keep the simple lines of this concept. The appearance is still not really "THE Alpha Male". But it is a very nice mascot.
#66: This is really a good logo. I have showed it to professional graphical designers that I know, and they are impressed. Your logo's are, so far, the designers choice. But the mascot still does not really represent THE Alpha Male. But you are getting closer. Thanks for trying!
#83: I like the new "set up" of the entire logo, with a little less dominant size of the mascot. The mascot is getting closer to appearance of the alpha male!
I don’t know why, but I think your logos looks the best when the mascot's front is towards the left (like #58). I also like the use of fonts at #58 better. I would like to see #111 directed towards the left, and with some different versions of the fonts in the logo.
Right now, I think the mascot dominates the logo too much. The word "alfahannen" is very though and cool in Norwegian. So I want the audience/market to see and remember both, the name and the mascot. Understand what I mean?
#118: Your logo is great. In fact, your mascot is the professional designers choice. But the mascot still does not really represent the personality of the alpha male (alfahannen). Please read my comments on the other top 6 ranked entries, and you will understand better what we are looking for. Thanks for trying!
