Top Three Things to Communicate
#1 - Refreshing, exciting flavor
#2 - dependable and consistent beer
#3 - Clever/humorous (but not silly)
Our Target Audience:
Our target audience would be Men and Women between the ages of 21-50
Color Preferences
Our company colors are orange cream and light blue.
Our Ideas and Additional Information:
The intention of this artwork is to be used as a label for the bottled release of our beer, Orange Kush. We want to see the name of the beer in the design as opposed to the company name. If possible, we would like the files in a .psd or illustrator format. You can learn a little more about us, our philosophy and company culture, as well as take a look at our company logo at aleIndustries.com
It appears there is some confusion on exactly what we are looking for. We are a brewing company, that is getting ready to release it's beer named "Orange Kush". We are looking for label art for Orange Kush as a beer label.

Diamond Contest
We're sorry, but this contest is presently open to a limited pool of designers.
All the entries are looking good, thank you. In starting this contest, we knew a lot of what we didn't want, and as the entries are coming in we have realized that in order for this to be a beer label, as opposed to a logo, it will need to have a description of the beer incorporated. We are describing the beer as, "A Hybrid Whit, brewed with orange peel, coriander, and chamomile." See what you can do with that. We are a self funded brewery that hand makes its beer, we do the deliveries ourselves, and we even hand make our tap handles It would be nice to somehow show that in this label. As we said in the beginning of this post, they are looking good, but don't be afraid to come up with something that doesn't match or fit in with what we already have.
is there any particular for layouts? dimensions? do you want something along the lines of cutouts or die-cuts ? or are you looking for rounded, rectangular, what ever?
The label will be a rectangle, with slightly rounded corners. A cut-out/die cut ends up increasing our per label cost, so we want to stick with standard stock. The image that we end up choosing will have a bit of text added to it(Gov. Warnings, Fluid oz, A.B.V.%, where it was brewed and bottled, etc....), so currently we are wanting just the meat of the label.
Thank you for all of your entries, the labels are looking fantastic. We are very happy to see everyone putting their own artistic spin on the label and encourage you to continue. Anything in our top 8 has the chance of winning, but that does not mean we wouldn't be open to other designs as well. Thank you all for your hard work!
I want to bring this to everyone's attention due to this being a product widely distributed...font licensing will most likely be required for the CH especially for those exotic flourishes..that are easily recognizable....
Thanks for pointing that out. It seems as if we find out fun stuff like that everyday. FYI, this beer will have a slow but steady growth, starting in the Northern California, Bay Area, then growing out from there. Three years from now is when we will be looking for nation wide distribution.
"Do you have permission to post a Contest for a LABEL DESIGN? This site is for Logo Design only" Nat
"No we don't." Ale Industries
If this in any way goes against any rules that happen to be out there, we will pull down the contest. If we have to do that, then the contest is still on, prize and all. We will post all contact info if that happens to be the case.
There is also a site called 99designs.com that does all kinds of stuff. We figured this was the same way, just liked the layout of this site better.
We are very happy to have so many designs come in. Just to clear up any confusion, we have not abandoned this contest. Nat had some concern, however it seems to have been a mute point. Please keep them coming. We are still working with some of the designers on a daily basis, and are trying to keep up with feedback with all of you.
