Color Preferences
We would quite like to include the current gold because of its' link with Alchemy, however advice is that it does not display well on electronic platforms (website, emails, etc) - looks murky brown. So we are open to use of different colours.
We operate several business areas and so one suggestion has been to have a primary logo for Alchemy in black and/or gold and then have secondary logos that use a pallet of different colours for each business area. We have 5 - Alchemy Food Ingredients, Alchemy Coatings & Construction, Alchemy Primary Industries, Alchemy Life Sciences, Alchemy Industrial Applications.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
We currently have similar, but slightly different logos for our Australian & New Zealand businesses - see attached. We would like to have just one logo that can be used in all mediums and all countries.
On the current logo, the circle on the left and part of the "A" is supposed to represent the alchemist's flask - see attached picture. This is quite obscure, so not sure if it is worth retaining. We are wary of links to "pagan alchemy" - credibility is a key message that we wish to convey. In addition there are already some problems in the food industry with our name being linked to chemicals - this is part of the reason for suggesting sub logos "Alchemy Food" as per above.
Many have suggested we should shorten to just "Alchemy", rather than "Alchemy Agencies". The majority of our competitors have a single word name/logo, although the actual full company name is much longer. e.g Ixom, Axieo, IMCD, Brenntag, Interchem.
However there is some merit in retaining "Agencies", as it does convey what we do. If we do include "Agencies" we want the "Alchemy" to be predominant.
