AirlinersGallery.comLogo Design Contest

#1 Black background may work on the website but I will need to see a non-black background alternative for letterheads, blogs, paperwork etc. The design also needs more orange somewhere.
#3 I preferred #3 over #2 because I liked the orange .com. In this design the G disappears which is not good. I need an alternate to the "wave" stripes.

#1 I like the shutter concept. However at first I did not recognize the symbol as a camera shutter. Some people may see it as a hurricane symbol. I will consider other concepts of a shutter if you have any ideas. A SLR camera outline may also be incorporated somewhere in the design to frame the logo. However we have to be careful not to make it too busy. Thank you.

#5 I think I prefer the shutter spiral logo on the left side (not on the top). We still need to modify the spiral design to make it appear to be more of a camera shutter. Some people may see this spiral as a hurricane symbol. We also should try to incorporate the outline of a SLR digital camera somewhere in the design, possibly to frame the whole logo. The name may also look better if AirlinersGallery is in a dark blue color and the .com is in orange. Thank you.

#9 Yes, this is an improvement for the shutter concept. I also like the placement of the airplane over a larger orange sun. With the black circle it is now beginning to look like a camera shutter rather than a hurricane symbol. I would also like to see a version where the "AirlinersGallery" title is in a medium to dark blue and ".com" in orange to set off the web address. I also would like to experiment with the outline of a SLR camera around the logo. It may make it too busy but it also may be the winning touch. Just a camera outline or a soft camera shadow image. Thank you.

#10 I am just OK with this design for now. However it really does not convey the key elements of photography, aviation, speed and dynamicism. I also do not like the diminished .com. It needs improvement. Thank you.

#12 Thank you for the submission. However I am not sure what the green/blue cloud is? Earth and Sky? Not sure what it is saying. I see the camera markings but I do not think it conveys what we are about. Sorry.

#17 and #15 Thank you for these additions. I like the camera background shading of #17. This addition now sets off the shutter logo and most viewers will now see the connection. #15 is a good back-up design. I also thing the blue/orange titles are an improvement over thee previous black titles.

#13 Thank you for this design. This design does well to convey what we are all about. It is in the running. I will need to get more input from my partner and staff. One improvement I would like to see is to substitute the smaller private aircraft with a wide-body airliner image (our main subjects). Thank you.

#19 This design says aviation and airlines in a strong way and is a contender. However I am not sure about the basic one color. It is a subtle but powerful design. Thank you.

#20 Another interesting and unique design. It reminds me of an aircraft fuselage but I am not sure it conveys what we do - photography, travel, aviation, movement, action etc.

#15 (VIDI) I think I may want to compare a different version of #15 again. Please center a larger "shutter" image over the name again without the camera shadow. However please use the updated shutter logo and make it large. I may want to concentrate on this logo (like Starbucks).

All other designers - we are open to all new and dynamic designs and icons. Please give us your best ideas for a concept. Thank you.

#26 Thank you for this nice dynamic design and icon. I like the AG combo in the design.

Let's try a version replacing the orange with green (but keeping the .com in orange) in both the AG logo and the name. Please also make the AirlinerGallery name in a bolder type set. Thank you.

#42 Thank you for this very nice and unique "balanced" design. It is a nice icon. Please see if you can develop a version with "AG" (instead of A) with wings. I also like the colors and type style. I also like the subtle shutter affect beneath. Thank you.

#41 Thank you for the nice "earth, sky and plane" design in a shutter affect. I have some suggestions. Please change the plane image from a fighter to an airliner. Please also try a lower case font. Please also have the tag line run the entire length below so the design is balanced. Thank you.

#60 This is a very interesting adaptation. Please make it a larger logo. The AirlinersGallery.com portion is difficult to read. Please try another color to make it stand out. With some changes this is a major contender. Thank you.

#65 Thank you for this interesting submission. Please note it is AirlinersGallery.com (large "G"). The multi squares reminds me of fuselage windows and the feeling of speed. I am not sure we also imply photography.

#72 Thank you for this updated version. I think it is better but it is not there yet. Some people may be concerned about the plane being wing low on one side.

#59 Thank you Marty for the additional variations of the "O" logo. I still like the original blue "O" design best. However as mentioned, I am not sure the "O" properly conveys photography, motion, aviation or even the AirlinersGallery.com name. What does "O" stand for would be a typical question?
