Entry #28 - Very nicely done. The orientation is for use on the left hand side of the aircraft. The image horizontally flipped would be used on the right hand side as well as vehicles and all other branding. The logo will be reversed out of the warm red tail as well as the satin silver fuselage so i might like to see the triangle filled in, in gold and then a different combination of colours used on the internal wing elements. I like the concept, concentrate a lot on the background colours, both the warm red tail and satin silver fuselage.
Entry 27 - Again, very nicely done. I find #28 a little bit more elegant, sophisticated but the two colour scheme here works well too. Perhaps if the individual elements of the wing were made a little thicker? Also, remember the logo will be reversed out of the warm red tail and the satin silver fuselage, so it needs to be in gold. I was fixated on my choice of typestyle for the titling but I have to admit that i like your choice, it would have to be bolder though to achieve the desired effect on the fuselage.
Entry #29 and 30 - Both very very good indeed. I'm not sure about the silver border on the tri-angle. In that respect i'm liking the simplicity of the 28 and 27 more. Reemeber, you might be standing at the HKG on a really humid, muggy day, when the visibility is low and one of our new 737-300ER's is on final approach onto the runway, we want you to look up in awe and know that here comes Air Republica from the RMG, we want to make you spread your wings and take to the sky!
Also, please flip the logos horizontally. Remember looking at the right hand side of aircraft, or when placed behind the titling, the wings will flare backwards as in flight motion. On the reverse side of the aircraft, wings will again always flare behind, like the way a flag is displayed.
This is a stunner! Absolutely magnificent. If at all possible just enlarge the wing portion maybe 10 percent? Accentuate it a little more. But that may or may not work. I'm liking this one a lot!!
Sorry that was for #32. #33 and #31, also great but I have to get my head around the colours, black may not be an appropriate choice. Let me look at the scheme and try to visualise it.
Entry#33 would have to be gold with red as in entry#32. I'm thinking that the logo has to be the same, reversed out of red on the tail, reversed out of silver on the fuselage to achieve the right continuity and balance. The red and gold definitely works on both!
Entry #34 - S T U N N E R !!!! Try a small increase in size of the wing(s) but don't lose the way it integrates into the tri-angle. Maybe it works, maybe not, but one thing's for certain, this is a stunner. Try a version reversed out of silver and then on a silver background do the version with titling, I'm thinking black titling more than red but let's see what YOU think?
Entry #35/36 - Prefer the previous gold. Old gold/dull gold as opposed to YELLOW gold. Previous colour similar to that used by Emirates, very successful.
Entry #37, for the fuselage red border should be taken out or blended into the gold. It will look better just the gold reversed out of the silver (i think?)
Entry#32 - Magnificent, it achieved the desired effect although it does risk now becoming a little too intricate. I do however think it is superb and must now look at it a while and visualise it on the aircraft. Great work!
Entry#39 as opposed to Entry#44 concept - Reversed out of the silver fuselage with or without red border. Its a big design quandary, I'm not all sure about which one is right, I will have to do cut outs of the aircraft and compare. Air Republica titling is very good, I would just make it a bit BOLDER.
Entry#41 is great, it achieved what I wanted and is flaring up nicely, but in all honesty, your preferred version, #32 might be better. The design needs to tend towards being simplistic rather than intricate and probably 32 achieves this better than 41. How do you feel?
#39 and #44 - Both great. I don't know which one will be better on the fuselage? Red border is stronger, bolder, more impact and balancing with logo on tail which is reversed out of red but without the border, the effect is sublime, subtle, elegant, its a beauty too. Hard hard choice between the two!
#32 is the best so far. We shouldn't worry about shadow effects, we can always add them later but for the purpose of clarity and visibility, I'm thinking without any shadow effects is the way to go for this particular use. My eye keeps, keeps going back to #37, and even if I indicated that I prefer without the border for the fuselage, man, #37 is good!
Don't worry too much about rankings now or new submissions. I've got your design and concept, let's let the competition run and see where we get to when we have to make the choice for the next stage. You are right up there. See my comments about DAY TWO in the competition brief, think about that and let's see which way this thing goes!
I mean all designer here never put a logo on an object to visualize the logo as the final function
one of the rule of submitting a logo is: BACKGROUNDS - White, Black, or Solid is best. Elaborate backgrounds (ie grunge, painted etc.) are allowed but not recommended. Do not show designs on buildings, vehicles etc. Moderators may remove designs that look unprofessional.
Backgrounds - do you mean about putting the logo on the aircraft ? No, that is not what I intended, my attachments are there as a guide, a visual tool to help designers in that they know for what end use the logos are being designed. I am not asking that the logo be transposed onto any background. I hope this is clear.
