Thanks: a bit too simple but it's creative how you used the "bars" of the "A" to add in the "+" sign but I would not continue with that idea in future variations. To me it looks a bit confusing at first but none the less I thought it was a good try.

The blue color is acceptable. I'm not keen on this shade of green though.

Fonts: this is a font that is acceptable.

#2:

Hi there,

Hadn't thought about a drop of water but not really. Also like to point out that I don't think I like the idea to have a bold "+" in the logo or the image. I see what you try to do with it as this is what we are: we are "plus", a step well above average.

But here is an idea:

I had initially thought of having the image part of the logo giving an idea of a wave at sea using the colors of Brazil: green, yellow, blue. Maybe instead of a line or "brush swipe" the could be tinny "+'s" composing an image. I would not guarantee that I like it when see it but it's an initial feedback.

#3 : as per "ideas" in the initial description of this contest: no globes/spheres please. I found they look great here on logotournament, they look terrible to me on business cards.

Also: I like to keep a space between "Agua and "Plus" as that's the company name.

Not fond of the red 'Plus". I liked the light green on the #2 plus better.

Thanks / B.

#4 and #5: I think you might have read the comments on #2 with the "+" sign and the "wave". Actually that was meant as a wave made out of tinny + signs.

The "+" sign as shown(stand alone) is not what I had in mind. In general I would not encourage the use of the "+" sign at all.

Thanks for the effort.

#6, #7 and #8.

The font used is nice. Colors are good. From the 3 variations shown I like #7 best although I'm not keen in stand alone circular shapes. But is has nice delicate small lines, uses all three colors.

I'll make a general comment in the next "comment box" on shapes. See below.

General comment on shapes.

Since we deal with water, some shapes of drops have been suggested. As a stand alone I'm not very keen on this shape as it for my taste does not translate well to a rectangular business card.

However, some designs have a rectangular box, line, shape around a drop/globe/sphere sized object which actually works very well.

It's just an idea you might be able to work with but I leave it up to you the designers to do the creative part, this is not a fixed guideline.

Many Thanks / B.

dropdesign, thanks for your comments and I had a look at the referenced page at the designs indicated and did not like either one for that matter.

Comment on design #9: I like the font type and color used. Did not like what looks like a 'Holy Cross" (French huguenot / malteses cross?).

# 10: thanks for picking up on my comments and show me a possible design using the ++ in a wave. Great effort but as mentioned I was not sure if this would look good. Now that I see it I must say that it actually looks a bit like barbed wire.

To all: please drop the idea of producing waves with tinny ++++++.

Obviously the color scheme reflects water and looks pretty nice. Again, don't care about the sphere (oval) as background.

Please note that business cards will be most likely have a white background so this light logo color might be hard to distinguish.

I do like the color scheme for text and background you trued for # 13 and #14 though.

However, coming back to all previous comments and recommendation: no "globes" please.

Thanks / B.

1) Like the wave under the text. Good start
2) Like the color used. Good Start
3) don't like the water "splashing" left and right of the yellow oval
4) might want to change the oval to something more rectangular?

Note: our Agua is with a "G" and not "Q" as in some other languages.

Closing for tonight. Talk tomorrow again.

Not bad with #16 better the one I like better than # 17. With that pictorial you can imagine you see the open sea.

I can't see what the little dots represent in the "water" but what if you try without and switch the colors on the text around?

Thanks for the ideas and using all colors that I had proposed. think I like to see the pictorial with a bit more finesse, they are a bit "thick" in your design.

#21: not really because of the globe. Mentioned a few time that I don't care about this shape.

#22: yes and no - yes for the slight off-set in height between the 2 words, no for the "thick" wave on top of it. Makes it look a bit like a bird's shadow. Maybe a few thinner lines?

Thanks for you entries,

#35, #36, #38 A bit too playful. #37 is not a bad try on my idea of some "wavy" action. You used the colors I said could be used so I would say try to build out on this idea.

General comments:

- As you can see from the ranking I seem to prefer a pictorial to the left of the text or below it. To me it makes a better "cornerstone" on business cards but that is a personal opinion.

- Also like colors with a gradient (in the pictorial design) better than solid colors. Text can be solid.

- Last but not least; fine lines in the design: to me they represents more quality. Not very fond of thick border lines.

Nice design: it looks like you take water from the sea and transfer into into potable water (and that's what we do). There is here a suggestion made if you could show a ripple effect of water moving a bit further out from the drop under the name.

They're all ok but don't "wow" me. It's along the line I wanted but not quite yet, not sure how to explain it.

Not sure what happened to my comment earlier in the week but here again:

Could you try without the large water splashes on either side of the logo and make the oval a bit more square? Wanted to see how that looks. I like the font / colors and the very fine lines that represent the wave

#52: Out of the 4 you'd send in I like this one best. Maybe you can play with some ideas with the yellow, green and blue colors in the wave.

#76 : Daz-maybe I give to many comments and folks don't read anymore: Almost all you designs put into today have the + sign and the circular shape which both are two of my least favorite design elements.

Ok ISSlogo , thanks for the feedback, will re-read through your feedback and try to come up with something close to your favorite.

To all:

Technically: Agua Plus are two words and should have a separation between them but if they are together as shown in some design I don't think that at the end I have a problem.

Just keep it in mind for the next design ideas.

Keep them coming.

To all: a suggestion from a colleague and worth asking:

what if the wave action extends through the words as if a stone hits the water and causes a ripple effect?

To all: I was told today that the correct order for the colors of the lines (yellow, green and blue) should be:

green at top, yellow at center and blue at bottom.

So any variation on the theme should follow the same order.

Sorry to those that I have dropped into "not interested" and had no time to comment on in details. From the ranking you can kind of see where we going with this.

Still a 1 1/2 day left for a "killer" design though!!

Enzyme,

Thanks for your latest entries. Will discuss which of the two text color schemes we like better but for me the one with double blue looks better.

Jeckson: I'm told that these look like existing logos in Brazil of a gas supply company. Don't know who but we can't use them.

Very nice designs, different than seen so far.

Just one comment: the color order of the wave should be green, yellow, blue

Keep alternate ideas coming.

Loco: nice with the 3D design. Green needs to go on top though, then yellow, then blue.

To All:

I had this week a conference with my colleagues in the same water making business and decided to have them vote on it to get their point of view since they deal with same type customers I deal with. I explained my ideas, why the colors, etc.

The final vote is from people all over the world and both genders (total about 40). Their ranking was as in order shown.

Some where deemed to look to much as bottled water logo, on one it looked to much like "visa" logo (?) and several colleagues said that some liked much like tooth paste adds.

I think the lesson here is get as many as people involved from the contest holder side right of the bat to get a variety of opinions (we started with 3) and yes I know there is a link to invite people to the process but I'm not willing to hand out my colleagues' e-mail addresses via any website for privacy reasons.

I'm sure some will be disappointed.

Thanks again & Best Regards
B.
