What We Do

Provide voice and data equipment, equipment, and services to small and medium sized companies.

Top Three Things to Communicate

#1 - Modern
#2 - Quality
#3 - Experienced

Our Target Audience:

Small and medium businesses in need of voice and data equipment, installation, or service.

Color Preferences

Red, Black, White are our current scheme, but feel free to be creative

Our Ideas and Additional Information:

Though the overall look and feel of the logo NEEDS to be modern, we'd like to see classical elements incorporated (art deco).

The imagery needs to be strong:
- Memorable
- Descriptive of the business
- Able to stand alone without the company name and still convey our message.

A bold font with serifs (gothic) is preferred, but not required. What we don't want are thin or curved fonts. Definitely no scripts.

The logo should be simple, but powerful and memorable.

Hello! Here are some hints for getting the most out of your contest:

~~ Rank designs daily -- this will encourage more participation.
~~ Ranking designs daily will also keep your contest from getting cluttered.
~~ The more feedback you provide, the better results you are going to see.
~~ Designers are not offended by "Not Interested"
~~ Over-use of "Not Interested" discourages participation.
~~ Ranking is a non-monitary means of showing apprecaition for designers hard work.
~~ Designers earn points for ranked designs. We like to earn points.

1st place - 50 points
2nd place - 20 points
3rd place - 10 points
4-6th place - 5 points
7-10 place - 3 points
10th on - 1 point

More detailed information on how to get the most out of your contest can be found here:

Would really like to see a pictoral mark. Please don't think you need to be locked into Red and Black either.

After some internal discussions, we're leaning away from the Letterform marks. Of the ones we've seen, from DesignLab (#4) is the best, but also very close to the logo we are trying to replace.

With that in mind, we've changed the contest brief to only include Pictoral Mark Logos. We're looking for strong imagery that will be able to stand alone (with or without the name), be descriptive of what the company does, and be memorable.

Not trying to be picky (or maybe we are), but the name is Adelphia Voice and Data Solutions, Inc. Please don't drop the Inc off of the name.

glendon is moving in the right direction - more literal imagery like in #134

Edited the brief to update the business description to add "equipment"

"Provide voice and data equipment, equipment, and services to small and medium sized companies"

Cabling is a major part of the business
