I really like where #1 is going. Maybe a tiny tiny bit bolder without the l having the little line sticking out.

Perhaps some orange and gray, and orange and black.

Sorry for the delay in getting the new color combinations posted...here is a flat orange/gray & a glossy orange/black combo.
