What We Do
Accredited Gemologists Association (AGA) is a non-profit, global network of professional gemologists. [A gemologist is someone who has studied the science of gemstones/diamonds - including their mineralogical characteristics, formation, history, etc.]. Our organization focuses on education, continuing education, ethics, and advancing and sharing knowledge in the gemstone industry. Our membership includes gemological industry leaders; who, as professional gemologists apply their knowledge and practical skills to their daily work - testing, identifying, appraising gemstones
Our Ideas & Additional Information
Our existing logos (see attached files) have been in use for decades and need updating; a fresh new look. We want both the acronym (AGA) and the complete name (Accredited Gemologists Association) included in the logo. The goal is the the new log be both clean and impactful. Our organization represents diversity within the industry and we are visual; drawn to images and color. As gemologists, we study diamonds and gemstones and most often look at them through a magnifying device such as a jewelers loupe or microscope. Perhaps an image that incorporates our "magnified view" of gemstones would be good.
