I really like the chalkboard concept. I also like pencils and apples. I don't like the big bold black writing or the font used in the second logo, and perhaps the A + should be centered. I like the first logo as well, but we need it to be clearer that it's an A and a "+".

The top are getting closer to what we want. We need the "A+ SCHOLASTICS" TO BE MORE IN BOLD. The plus sign is too big. or perhaps jus the "A+" is in bold.

The new top four are still not quite there. The logo is lacking some "pop". perhaps more variations with the chalkboard would be good and different kinds of apples. We'd like the logo to be a little more lively.

Perhaps a chalkboard with an A+ in it and Scholastics right next to it like the one ranked #3 now.
