Our Apologizes for the listing. Let us clarify. The business name for the logo is
A&R Distributors and NOT 'website' this was typo on the contest form and were unable to
edit it to clarify. We apologize for any confusion on the contest guidelines.

For All: Entry #5 is a very good format and color scheme, just misses being on the favorites side. The font for A & R for this entry needs to be a bit more bold. Very creative and on the right track.

For All: Were very impressed with all the entries and the ranking is getting more difficult as new entries come in. We are finding that the logo's that incorporate our slogan with the logo are getting noticed and ranked the highest. However,
its not a requirement to incorporate the slogan. We would like to mention even though we are required to rank, all entries
are STILL competitive. Please keep them coming!

for All: Next ranking will be later today around 7 pm eastern time zone in the united states.

Some feedback: Many entries to consider and their is a very fine line between what we place in the favorites side and what is put on the not interested. Their are many considerations we are using to distinguish. Specifically, the logo of choice must have a 'wow' factor that transcends its appeal on the web, business cards, letterhead, etc.. Additionally, with web 2.0 we desire a logo that will work in the long term.

Our marketing team evaluates every single logo. For the logo's we do rank, they are evaluated and are also polled by
a diverse demographic base. We are seeing a wide range of ideas and they all have a certain appeal. We do sincerely appreciate all the efforts from all entries and we do thank you for your time and efforts.

If you have any direct questions or specific questions, please don't hesitate to email us here on the site.

Again, thank you to all for your very unique and competitive ideas.

How can you work with an elipse or a swoosh in long term?
Mare you should exemplify this before leting the contest holder go in a very poor idea:
http://www.thestreet.com/tech/internet/986150.html

William, if you really want to go with something for a long term then a swoosh is definately not the best path to acheive that result.
My sugestion is that you have to be more open minded to things as - more than 90% - simple things are for sure done before and too cliché. At least leave some space to our creativity - A&R logos are too simple to be unique or strong.

Think of that!

The whole style of logo being picked is wrong for this company, in my humble opinion,
the logos up there look fine and are executed well by all designers,
but they're not technological, there's no wow factor and they're not hip. They could easily belong to
freight company not a technological company.
just my two cents, don't want to sound to harsh,
just give advice, as changing logos in the future is not cheap.
But then again picking your logo is a personal thing, whatever the outcome.

ulahts and bluejet, I agree. SInce a ranking couple of days ago the whole selection speaks "boring" to me. simple blue letters and elipses..

A good example of such misunderstanding was for me http://logotournament.com/index.php?module=contest_view&id=489 looking for an "Edgy" logo and in the end going YouTube style..

I must say that i agree what ulahts said about swooshes but in the start of contest i didnt have those and later when all my no swooshes entries were ranked as not interested i just folowed the CH style that he likes!
My job is to create and if CH doesnt like my solutions i'll shure try to satisfy his likeness style that he's after.
And i must say that sometimes simple one's give the best result, in the end its all about CH taste.

I'll have to disagree with what ulahts said. How did NIKE use the swoosh for decades? It all depends on how you brand your company. A logo is just the pretty face of a company/business/corporation/product. And if you give the pretty face some personality/character, then people will remember you for it. Pretty and nice personality/character. Branding of your company is important to support the pretty face. So, no matter if it's a swoosh, a dot, etc.. people will remember you if you use it correctly. Ok, that's just my opinion.

Mare i completely agree, designjunction borrowed the same image.'It's not at his first time here doing this. Maybe where he is those things are allowed, here they shouldn't!

There you go, I think the CH noticed it now that you submitted that concept first and not aware that there are 2 designers in that design concept.

Mare, give designjunction the benefit of the doubt and I think accusing him for stealing your concept wasn't fair. Well, I really hope that he didn't copy your idea.

designjunction, I know you are a good designer... however, your entry was too similar with Mare. In your case, Be man enough to withdraw it if there are already some violent reactions happening.

Keep on designing PiPol! Peace! :)

Hahahaha...
Anyway i think that this CH is way too in a horrible taste for identity with those swooshes and ignores the fact that a similar logo exists elsewhere. It's obvious he ignores our researches and he agrees on a cliché imagery so i guess he deserves that logo, but it would be very interesting if Mr. William will detail a little bit why is he interested in something that looks almost identical with the Bud Light logo or any of the following logos:

http://www.vpforensic.co.uk/service.asp
http://www.precisiontradingsystem.com/TraderResources.html
http://www.1bigbox.com/about.html

And what are his expectations in regards of his companie's future along with that logo.

You should take a look on the following link:
