Hi,
The font would be fine on a business card, a good font choice should be legible at various sizes.
Regarding the colour, I can provide CMYK, Pantone and hex colour values of the design.
I should point out that as you are viewing all designs on screen colours with vary depending on the device on which you view them.
Gary, I want to ditch the hand drawn stylisation of the logo. Can you do that?
Also a happy 'nice' yellow.
The font is clean and really well spaced - lots of room to breathe.
How would you handle this on a business card though? Would the font be too small to read?
Any ideas about how to handle this? Does in need a different font if its going to be smaller?
Thanks Gary, Just heading to bed. Will have a good look in the morning. Appreciate your thoughts too. Helps me understand whats going on.
Dale is in Dublin i think. Runs an animation house called Treehouse Republic, i think. We worked in 2D animation together around 2003. Long time ago now but he's still in the game i believe.
Hi Gary,
Sorry its taken me a bit to give you feedback.
Can you mess about a bit with this? What i think i want now (and it has changed a bit - sorry about that) is a logo and font that represent the two different sides of our clinic. 1. Medical, clean, precise, scientific. 2. humble, human, caring, warmth.
This could be done with a 'freehand' style logo and a clean light font (see pdf for some examples of fonts, I'll try to short list these in the main comments later today) OR the other way around, a clinical logo and personable neat handwritting for the name. THere are some examples of these in a pdf too. Here is another to get the ball rolling.

The hand drawn to idea would definitely have provided that feel
Geometric shapes and lines can feel a bit clinical

Noted your comment on colours. I knew my monitor wouldn't be calibrated right.
Have you done this logo with mixed case? I like this logo better than the hand drawn one.

I think a hand drawn mark instead of hand drawn type is a better way to go when readability could be an issue.
Having a separate icon and type instead of them being combined also makes for a clearer overall logo.
I have have used caps and lowercase as the the human eye recognises this format over all caps or better.
I have also included the slogan but understand that you may change this or not use it at all.
Thanks
