I'm a local Raleigh designer and a listener to 99.9 and would love to be involved in your project. I have a bunch ideas , but ran out of time today to submit them all. If there is anyway you can include me in the "top 5" phase I can submit them then.
This is an event where guys pay $40 to come to PNC Arena, eat burgers and dogs, drink beer, and listen to a Fantasy Football expert give a talk on how they think this year will play out.
They then draft a team and play in a league for $5000.
Made an update to the font on #33 to make it pop out a little more, this can be added to any of the iterations.
Not sure if you noticed this , but the football in the background is the tip of a trophy that runs the length of the logo to the bottom where the stars are.
Can you show me what some Gray looks like on #27? Maybe the border and/or what it looks like with the white space in the triangle filled with Gray and Silver?
The only negative feedback that I've gotten from your designs is because the logos are at the bottom, they kind of look like a throw in (like we are sponsoring someone else's event instead of presenting our event...if that makes sense).
Also keep in mind that after my discussions with the admins, the "winning logo" will be one that does not include the radio station and coors logos, however the files that are delivered to me will include those logos. This is a way to get around the issue with incorporating other people's logos.
Yeah, I have been playing around with ways to incorporate the other logos more cohesively within the design and main problem is that they are not the vector (eps,si,pdf) versions of the logos so they will not scale nicely they way the logo will and get very blurry if they are blown up to a large scale. Along with having white backgrounds instead of transparent.
I think they would work inside the triangle at the bottom if I could get the correct versions. Let me know if you can dig them up somewhere.
No problem with the "winning design". Once we get everything nailed down I will just upload a version without the logos and you can award that one.
I think we like #39. A couple of tweaks and we could be in business. There is a little bit of white/gray under the F in Fantasy and L in football. I know you were trying to create the effect of the band wrapping around, but its not defined enough, so it looks like a mistake. Can you just fill that in?
One member of our focus group insists on wanting to see the area above the word "Triangle" and below the football in gray.
Lastly...I know you have one design set against a black background and one set against white background. If we select your logo, we'll be able to use that logo against any background we want, correct? In other words, is the background attached to the logo?
I definitely agree with you about the little gray specs. They were more relative in the first designs but now they don't belong.
I will upload a version with the gray as you described above
Yes the logo itself is separate (transparent background) and will be able to be set on any color background. I just wanted to submit a dark color background to demonstrate how it will work with both dark and light backgrounds.
Logo Tournament only requires that we send you .eps (the scalable/editable design file) and .jpg files, but I will also send you transparent .png and .pdf files directly to your email because you will want those in the future.
