#20 (and #21), this is an interesting approach, I like the type selections on the numbers and the letters. I wonder if you might try different color combos, or perhaps attempt to make a shield or medallion by laying it in a circle, square or other shape?
Thank you for your positive feedback. I just uploaded a couple of variations, but i´m still working on somemore variations with your suggestions in mind,
Filipe, awesome work. Let's talk about #43 and #48. I like the boxed layout of #43, but I like what you've done with the numerals in #48. I'd like for you to combine them, but I have a couple of requests.
First, the first and last initials of my name are GB. I'd like for you to fill in the little indentation on the left hand side of the "8" so that it can be thought of as an "8" but also a "B". Then we'd have symmetry between the right side components of both the "6" and the "8", and it would not only be a "68", it would be a "GB" as well.
Next, I'd like for you to reduce the amount of space both above and below the "68" in the box.
I think for now I'd like for you to make everything the same color (black will suffice for now) so that we can see how it all works together, then think about color.
Filipe, can you reduce the amount of space between the two "halves" of the numbers by 50%? Same thing with the space between the two boxes. I think we are on to something!
Filipe, that's super. One more variation request before we start with color. Can we see what #77 would look like if we made the curved lines separating the two halves of each numeral perfectly vertical, along the same plane as the vertical space in the middle of the "6"? Essentially you'd have two "I" shapes on the left hand side of each numeral character.
I agree with that. But I find myself looking at the form of the character and seeing old-school futurism. Like you'd see in science fiction depiction from the 1930's or 1940's. I think it's cool. Can you delete the vertical lines altogether on a version so I can see the character form in it's natural state?
The blue/orange is doing it for me. I like the version of the numerals with the vertical line better than without. It keeps the retro-futuristic characteristics of the numerals, but the lines break it up so as to not look outdated or old.
How do you think we could communicate "68digital.com" using your concept? There will be instances where the logo will be standing alone (like on a sponsor banner at local sporting event) where I'd like to communicate the URL in an intuitive way, but in a way that works with the logo.
Thanks for your hard work! I'm wondering if each of you can take a shot at a logo that includes both the numerals "68" and the phrase "sixty-eight" along with the word "digital"
for example:
sixty-eight 68 digital
or
68 sixty-eight digital
Please post your work and let me know if you have questions.
