Hi Waveman, we definitely like the simplicity of the symbol. But we miss the growth, the power or drive to learn or the education symbolics. It looks a bit like a hair saloon. Also you don't have to integrate the symbol into the logo. We can imagine that adding for example open book into the symbol could be the solution. There is a space when you move the type away :-) It's just an idea... But a woman reading book in such a simple and clean stylization - hmm.. that might be the winner if it looks neat! Symbol in circle enclosure is a practical thing and we like it. Keep the typography simple and let it be for the time being. We have to fix the symbol first and make it work. Blends are not necessary and leave the color in dark blue (type) and let's say light blue (symbol).
Thanks for your work and we appreciate any updates. CH
Hi, you got the idea but we are not really happy with the execution. The book is out of the symbol now as another icon. If you could integrate it into the circle (it can stand out though) it would be great. We believe it should look like one illustration - not two, which is know. We know it's not easy but such a simplified illustration of reading woman would be VERY nice.
thanks again for a good work. Its not finished though. We would like to do some adjustments: - could you make the head smaller and the book bit bigger? We need to accent the educational feeling. - could the hair lines correspond in weight somehow with the white line in the book? And maybe make it more hairy? Not curles but maybe one more wave... - the silhoulete may need some adjustement too. Showing some lips (slightly) or maybe adding an eye feeling in white might lift it up too. What you think?
We are getting close Waveman. Thanks for your patience and good work. We are looking forward for some updates.
All right - how about now? #53, #54, #55 I'm not sure if you'll be able to see all the details - If you want, I can submit also just the icon much bigger so you can see it.
you are right, let's focus on the symbol itself and post just the icon. #55 is - we think - the best. Two more things: 1) what if it's negative - background in blue and the book and the face in white? Could you try that as a version? We listen to your suggestions if you think it will look bad. It will have to have outline too... 2) Could you do hair lines 20% thinner? Just really slightly... ;-)
Waveman, thanks for a good work. We think we have simple, straightforward but very nice symbol. What do you think?
Hi - please have a look at the latest versions - I think you were right about the negative version - it looks really good: #58, #59. It also has more "air" if I can put it this way - it looks brighter and therefore more positive and friendly. This is a very powerful and meaningful symbol - I really really like it. Also - thanks for your suggestions - they were very helpful, I wish all customers provide such a good feedback. This is the key.
thank you both for a great work. Now your work is finished and both versions are tuned up to our satisfaction. We pick one and we don't need any adjustments with the type, colors etc. We need just the symbol.
Honestly we believe both logos are equally good, they represent the same idea. Waveman's icon is more feminine, gentle and stylized. On the other side SNgraphics's solution is more illustrational, nicely 'retro' and selfconfident. We made both symbols in BW preview and our project partners will help us to choose the winner.
If the rules would allow that, we would split the prize money to both of you. Unfortunatelly we can not double the budget. But you both deserve it. If you both would agree with that we can ask admin if there is a solution for such a split.
Thanks again for great work and we will let you know soon. Regards CH
