We need to avoid blue, because our competitors use one around Pantone Blue 072C. We prefer to use corporate colors, like Grey, Dark Red, Black, but you have freedom here inside the corporate visual style.

This is the Web Site of the factory: http://www.quorion.de/ the logo is pretty simple and sort of old looking, but it works. You can find some sales material here: http://www.quorion.de/Cash%20Registers/Cash_Register_Brochures.htm. Our logo should have the same good usability like this one.
