I combined the two, as well as the "surf & smoke" to create borders that hold a classic typeface with a custom treatment.#33 With this concept, I was thinking about the idea of just hanging out at a beach, waterfront, etc. smoking a cigar and feeling kinda kingly. SO - with that in mind, I made the beach chair like a lounging throne and crowned it, with bundles of tobacco leaves acting like palm fans.Any feedback you have is greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time & consideration.josh 12 years ago BHC Client Wow! Dude, if you saw what I can do as an artist, you would understand why I am speechless right now. Very cool. Really appreciate how you put yourself in not only my shoes but also the shoes of my patrons. Seriously, well done and thank you, so much, for that effort! With that, I hear where you're coming from on #33, but I can't take my eyes off of #32/#34. Just have to decide which, of the two, I like better...crown or no crown...chair or no chair...In my very humble artisitc opinion, LOVE the combination of the surfboard and the cigar....just outstanding! How would #32 look with some type of little roof on it? If it looks bad, don't even send. Again, I am NO ARTIST! lol.. 12 years ago BHC Client Could you add a little house/surf shack at the top of #32, like you did with the chair and crown in #34? Just wondering what that would look like. Also, I am going to use the logo on everything including matchbooks, plastic bags, t-shirts, bumper stickers, coffee mugs, lighters, ashtrays, etc. Will the shading in the background effect that at all? I jsut don't know any better. thanks for dealing with my ignorance. 12 years ago Josh Logo Designer thanks for the kind words man!I'll work on a roof/surf shack/beach type of thing - that's a good idea. ALSOsorry - the background is really just for presentation. Probably threw you a little - I'll remove it from future entries so you can get a better idea. Just so you know - this is currently 4 colors, but it could easily be 2 colors for special applications like bags/stickers - stuff where limiting the color save money. I should have some changes up tomorrow.thanks again for your feedbackjosh 12 years ago Josh Logo Designer #35 / #36 / #37 / #38All are the same concept. I went with the beach house over the chair, because it reinforces the brand. and I think it works with the cigar/board better. I also changed the font out (although I'll be uploading a couple more logos with the previous font) I liked this font a little better because I thought the thickness matched the art better. It also has a hand-drawn feel to it that kinda relates to your hand-rolled cigars. Lastly, I thought the font gave it a feeling that I'm going to call "casual swank"...like something that's laid-back and prestigious at the same time (if that makes sense...). Like a yacht club in the 50s maybe?#37 is a straight two color job (it uses a half-tone...like when you see gray made up of small black dots. Those are half-tone dots) I almost like the two-color more than than the regular 4-color (which is still fairly inexpensive to print)#35 & #36 are the same, but #36 has sand & water spray as a texture - thought I'd offer it as an option :)#38 is another font option. A little more...Tahitian? Tropical, maybe? 12 years ago BHC Client Josh,Awesome! Thank you so much for your efforts. I really appreciate you taking my feedback into consideration and adjusting the design accordingly. I have to get on the road now for a 7 hour drive. We are deciding later today. Again, thank you!Steve 12 years ago Josh Logo Designer Hey Steve#46just wanted to show you how it looks super tiny (cigar band size...probably not anything else that small...). I figured it'd be important to see that it could be used small, toothanks!josh 12 years ago Josh Logo Designer #47 / #48here are both fonts with nothing up top. I repositioned some things to make it all fit better. If you want any colors switched around, etc. just let me know. Not a problem at all.thanksjosh 12 years ago Josh Logo Designer #49 / #50 / #51here are some more options with a beach chair / beach house.I have a meeting in a few minutes - then I'll be away from my desk for a while. 12 years ago
