Color Preferences
The obvious choice involves a play on gray. Gray with a splash of color? Gray should be communicated clearly and I would like to limit the design to two color printing. We currently use black, red and gray in our color scheme. But I am trying to tie in a concept related to 50 Shades of Grey and need to communicate extremes, playful bdsm if you will, so I will leave it to the designers to pick the colors.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
My websites are dungeonv.com and 50shadesSD.org if you'd like to get some ideas. You may with to google bdsm dungeon for ideas (Paddles in NYC seems like a more approachable dungeon, for example). We with to express fear but with a playful edge. Playful terror, slightly playful terror, curiosity inducing. The logo would ideally lead to the site. Prefer fonts that are easily readable.

I'm thinking dark, brooding and frightening with a touch of whimsy.

I usually prefer a text mark but in this case I'm leaning more toward an emblem style logo.
