Diamond Contest
We're sorry, but this contest is presently open to a limited pool of designers.
#1 and #2 - not a bad start - but not strong enough
Also, both are missing my tag line - which I would like to add if possible. The ® needs to be a superscript in the United States. The distance between the RR in the symbol is too big on 1. I like the Diamond versus the square - but not the sideways R's.
#3 seems too busy to me. The trademark registration mark has to be after resumes for legal reasons. It is good to add the tag line. I like the idea of adding a flag or a pen, but not sure of the way it is done here.
I do not like the R on #4, #5 or #6 - on #4 the wrong font and on #5 and #6 partial Rs. In addition the R cannot have a registration mark by law. Only put the registration mark on the full Robin's Resumes - or it is in violation of my trademark. You are also copying what another designer did better. Finally, this does not include red which is important ot my theme.
#7 Even though further analysis shows it is an inkwell, my first look thought it was a birthday cake. If I can do that - then others would
#8 Much better, directionally my first choice for now.
#9 I like this one - but not sure I really want a flag in there - I still would like the R in the logo not to be sideways - but I like the diamond #10 Wrong colors (I want Red, White and Blue due to my audience) - and the trademark is in the wrong place
So far I like #8 the best - but the font for #9 I like better than #8 - I do not like my slogan as much in reverse
#23 #24 #25 #26 #27 #28 - Thanks for the try - but I do not want my R wrapped up with a flag #29 I am not looking for boxes - it also missing my tag line
#20 I do not know what a tie has to do with my brand
#21 I do not know what the circle with a tie has to do with my brand
#22 Interesting start - but I think I like #19 still the best so far
#30 My copyright is for the plain Resumes not for the accented version - so that is not acceptable. I want red white and blue - and I do not want a reversed background. The stylized "R's" with a pen look like something else to me at first glance (and I thought it was that prior to reading the comments) which is not polite in a logo. Thanks for trying.
#34 Interesting submission - I like it somewhat - the pen and paper are interesting to me. I do not like the script lettering - current generation in the US is not reading cursive - and I create resumes which are formally typed. In addition, I would like the blue to be the darker blue - since that is what is on the American flag. The (R) is too large and I would like my company name separated from the tag line. However, I still like the pen and stars on #19 the best.
#41 and #42 - As noted above, I am not interested in cursive script for my logo (see comment July 21st, 2009, 8:17am). I like having the stars and line from my choice #19
#43 - The company's name is Robin's Resumes(r) not Robin's Resume. I do not like the R with the pen.
#44 - looks like a tree with the stars - thanks for trying #45 - I like this - it is now close to a tie with #19 - can you add a line between Robin's Resumes (r) and the tag line?
Hello Robin Please consider ranking the designs rather than eliminating the points we gather are valuable even if we do not win your contest. Also take a moment to review the "Ranking and General Tips" as compiled by one of our designers (Bugy) https://logotournament.com/forum/general_discussion/914
Hi Scott - I have ranked many of them and for my favorites have provided feedback within the design itself. I thought I was following what I thought was the right ranking formula - I now have 17 entries and have been somewhat directive in what was necessary for my logo.
I am giving points to over 20 designers - I ranked most designers who have not withdrawn their entries so they can at least get 1 point each - however, if my company name was not spelled correctly the designs are not ranked, since that is critical when doing a logo design.
