You're right—the vertical logo definitely looks better. However, a horizontal version might come in handy sometimes, so if you decide to go with my logo, I'll also send you a horizontal version.

1. I would love to explore different types of hearts. Although I like them and they communicate what we need, I would like to see more shapes to avoid to be seen as a bit corny.

2. Does this logo can exist in horizontal or only vertical?

3. How could this work on BW? White over black and viceversa?
