What We Do
This is a French restaurant on the island of St. Martin, in the French West Indies. In French, the word Alizé means "gentle breeze." Note that "SXM" should not be part of the logo. The restaurant is located in a marina, with the water coming right up to the dock in front of the space. The vibe is "St Tropez casual" with colors of soft green and pink, with a black and white checkered floor, large palm trees, and a large, hand carved bar that has an exotic feel to it, with antique glassware from around the world. The mood is upscale, yet island casual and welcoming. There is live music, usually jazz or island reggae. The food is French, but with twist. Lighter than traditional French food, with unexpected ingredients and presentation (think escargot served on a waffle). The target audience includes locals, tourists, and yacht owners utilizing the marina.

Our Ideas & Additional Information
I would like to use the letter A as the main focus of the logo. This will be utilized on signage, printed materials, and merchandise (hats, shirts, etc.). I am not envisioning any other images (no palm trees, waves, sun, etc.). I would like the font to be fairly cursive in nature, with a foreign, mysterious, ornate feel to it. Like something from mythical times.
