Yes, that way the chicken doesn't look like a cartoon character anymore. However, the overall impression isn't coherent anymore. Do you think it's possible to take design #37 and replace the rooster's head with the head of this hen?

Not bad. I like the flat bottom line. However the chicken looks even more like a cartoon character than before (that is something we want to exclude).
Please don't go further in that direction. We already got other entries with more realistic images of our own chicken (see updated brief). TY

Very nice design! Yes, right direction :)
In fact the chicken looks very much like the hens we breed (not the roosters ... I've attached a pic of one of our hens to the brief). Therefore maybe you can make the comb and wattles a bit smaller and make the eye less cartoon-like.

The arrangement of the image and type is nice too, maybe better than what I meant before (type going round on the top, design flat at the bottom ... see markup), but maybe you could give it a try that way too.
As the intention is to use the logo in the header on our website, I can imagine there it will look better with a flat bottom line. TY

Also the design would fit our purposes better, if the (half-)round part was on top and the bottom flat.

I also think the design would benefit from less details (star not necessary, design of the rooster maybe less detailed).

Very nice idea! Only the rooster could look prettier ;)
And the cube probably looks more cube-like without the vertical pattern. TY
