What We Do
31 Million, as in 31 Million French women... We are an organization that provides fun information sessions on the "French touch". i.e., how French women "famously" dress and eat. We also aim to take some of our clients for shopping sessions to Paris eventually. This is a side business as we're Parisians living in the Netherlands and working hard by day. This business is cheeky as well as are French girls, so of course we're intent on keeping it that way!

Color Preferences
That's really up to you... What we're looking for is a combination of colors that are modern and feminine
Our Ideas & Additional Information
This is a poster we came across recently in Paris. It's the spirit we're looking for but probably a little "classier": (Unfortunately no credit here)

Although again, we're looking for something slightly more refined, we love the color palette (orange, petrol blue, black, white and fuchsia), the attitude, the fun, the modernity... It's very feminine, and yet exudes energy.

Thank you for your entries... It's amazing to see this take life.

A couple of comments: the first two (and third :) are really interesting. Could the first one have a little more color perhaps? I really like the petrol blue and orange combination... What I love about the second one is the girl... She's definitely French, so it conveys the message pretty well that there's about 31M of them around. I'm not sure why she's standing on the M though!

In short, if a combination of the two first was possible, then I'd go for it. I don't know how you can make this possible, but I'm hoping!

Finally, the font in almost all the entries is too classical. We need something more modern, like the one in the link provided in the brief (for example). I'm also posting a couple of other links to fonts that we like, so you have an idea: http://www.modemove.com/images/marque/zadig-voltaire.jpg and http://www.narumiya-planning.co.jp/marizza_topics/img/manoush_logo.jpg

Thank you and have good day from Amsterdam!

Thank you for these cool entries, please keep them coming... I'll also write to those of you who kindly wrote with comments asap.

Just a quick general comment though: I'm not sure I can deal with too much pink :) Fuchsia is great, but please keep it in small touches...

Cheers :)

Hello!

Thank you for these entries... I don't have time to rank them properly because I have to jet for a meeting until this afternoon...

Is there a possibility we shorten the skirt, make it more tight...? Basically, what I loved about Michael Campbell's entries is that she is quintessentially French (read: understated sexy). I know these are fashion conversations you might not be interested in, but it's essential I get her right since what I'm "teaching" is French style...

Thanks and speak to you later,

N.
PS: have a look at the best illustrator of French women ever:

Oh and of course, there's always Carlita's style to check out for inspiration: French-Italian super model turned first lady... Only in France lol :)

:)

Hello,

I extended the deadline to the contest because as mentioned before, there is room for more exploration as well as tweaking of some existing logos...

In any case, thanks to all for your takes... It's amazing how creative, open and kind this community is...

I'll get back to you either later today or tomorrow morning (Western Europe time) for comments. Have a great Sunday,

N.

Hello,

As promised here are a few comments so far:

The style: 1) either the depiction of a woman, or a detail of a woman's attire or 2) the name of the company in a stylised version

The woman: please this girl needs to be
- either classy, but not intimidating (otherwise we'll have no clients) or funky rock'n roll like in #41
- sexy but not sexual

Other: We are not sure how easily we can use logos that are not "contained" somehow or with edges that are too dark. We need to use this logo for business cards (smudge effect), the website and flyers among others.

Thank you.
