Maybe a slightly different take? I also definitely prefer your designs that use most/all of the color palette. 7 years ago comcastjonm commented on #165 Withdrawn I definitely prefer the version with the larger triangles! 7 years ago comcastjonm commented on #111 Withdrawn Generally, except for the design I ranked where the graphic design points to the left and the whole logo looks like an arrow, we don't need to include both "SST" and "Software Strategy & Transformation" in the logo. 7 years ago comcastjonm commented on #116 Withdrawn It's interesting; I think for the designs where "SST" is much larger or when we have an up-and-to-the-right orientation for the graphic, I like having the graphic to the left, but when we spell out "Software Strategy & Transformation" or when the graphic is pointing to the right, I like having the graphic on the right. Not sure I can articulate why, though. 7 years ago comcastjonm commented on #118 Withdrawn I like the overall sense of this design as an arrow! 7 years ago comcastjonm commented on #121 Withdrawn The interleaved S's with the arrows are interesting, but I prefer your other designs that have a more pronounced graphic and use more of the color palette. 7 years ago comcastjonm commented on #124 Withdrawn I definitely prefer the designs that use more of the color palette. I'm not sure the overall circle of the graphic evokes any of our desired characteristics in this one. The arrows embedded in the bottoms of the S's are interesting, though. 7 years ago comcastjonm commented on #126 Withdrawn I think I like some of your other designs better. Not sure the arrows go as well in the circles with this design. 7 years ago comcastjonm commented on #127 Withdrawn These remind me of jets or paper airplanes; it feels a little more whimsical, which I like. 7 years ago comcastjonm commented on #129 Withdrawn I like this one too. Could we play around with the text to try to get it on two lines instead of three? I wonder if that would even out the lengths of the lines more. 7 years ago comcastjonm commented on #128 Withdrawn I really like the negative space arrows in this one. 7 years ago comcastjonm commented on #125 Withdrawn I really like this one a lot. Can we get the colored triangles larger and/or closer together? if they cover more vertical ground then they would look more like the "head" of an arrow, with the text forming the "tail" 7 years ago comcastjonm commented on #79 Withdrawn I also find this attractive, although it doesn't suggest evolution/acceleration as well as some of your other designs. 7 years ago comcastjonm commented on #81 Withdrawn This is also a really attractive graphic. It feels like the triangles are pointing in opposite directions, which doesn't give a sense of coherent progress in a common direction. I think we need more of that directional sense for the logo, though. 7 years ago comcastjonm commented on #80 Withdrawn I'm intrigued by this; the layers are suggestive of common technical architecture diagrams, and there's a vague "S" in the negative space that's interesting. I think some of your other designs that suggest more evolution/movement fit a little better though. 7 years ago comcastjonm commented on #82 Withdrawn I like the selection of colors from the palette you've made here, although like some of your designs that use the full palette. I'm not sure what to make of the graphic here. I get a sense of "alignment" or "convergence" from it, which _is_ relevant to the group's mission, although it's more important for us to evoke a sense of acceleration/speed than one of alignment. 7 years ago comcastjonm commented on #86 Withdrawn The other logos in our organization family (the Comcast corporate logo and the Core Application Platforms logo) don't really have 3d/drop shadow elements to them, and I prefer some of your other designs that use more of the color palette. The slanted blocks do present a feeling of movement/dynamism that I like, though. 7 years ago comcastjonm commented on #88 Withdrawn I prefer some of your other designs that use more of the colors from the palette. The tapered stripes give a sense of movement here that I like, although I think some of your other designs evoke that more strongly. 7 years ago comcastjonm commented on #83 Withdrawn I like this one too. I wonder if moving the graphic to the right-hand side might work: the 6 circles seem to form the head of an arrow pointing right, and I wonder if the text could serve as the tail of the "arrow". I wonder if the circles could be adapted somehow to give a stronger sense of speed/acceleration. 7 years ago comcastjonm commented on #84 Withdrawn I'm intrigued by this orientation too. Could we see the graphic triangle formation on the right? Maybe as the "head" of an arrow? 7 years ago comcastjonm commented on #89 Withdrawn I like the versions of this that have the tapered stripes better. 7 years ago comcastjonm commented on #92 Withdrawn I think this one doesn't connect as well with me as some of your other designs; it's less colorful, and the graphic doesn't evoke acceleration/transformation as strongly as some of your other ones. 7 years ago comcastjonm commented on #93 Withdrawn I'm really intrigued by this one! Reminds me of jets flying in formation. Could you also do a version that uses the group acronym "SST" instead of the full group name "Software Strategy & Transformation"? 7 years ago comcastjonm commented on #90 Withdrawn I like the other version I just ranked, where the stripes narrow towards the upper right, as that suggests more "speed" to me. On the other hand, this suggests some more "evolution/growth" to me, so I am intrigued to explore that too. 7 years ago comcastjonm commented on #87 Withdrawn I like this concept as well; evokes a road to the future for me. 7 years ago comcastjonm commented on #91 Withdrawn I like this one, too; the negative space in the blocks does add to the suggestion of speed. 7 years ago comcastjonm commented on #85 Withdrawn I really like this one; the use of the full color palette; I like how the slanted boxes in the graphic give a sense of movement/speed. For the negative space inside the colored blocks, rather than a round center, what if those were negative space arrows pointing right? 7 years ago agus commented on #18 Withdrawn I am sorry late read feedback from you. Please check new design from me and provide feeedback. Thank you. 7 years ago comcastjonm commented on #20 Withdrawn I like the use of the color palette here, but the triangular hex pattern doesn't suggest evolution/acceleration strongly enough for me. 7 years ago comcastjonm commented on #22 Withdrawn Similar to the one I just ranked: liked the full color palette and clean lines; liked that the tapered curves suggest dynamism and movement; would like to see versions that suggest movement in the same direction. 7 years ago comcastjonm commented on #21 Withdrawn Also, I thought the design element looked vaguely like an "S"--not sure if this was intentional, but I found it to be a subtle, amusing bonus. Not necessary to keep that feature if there are better ways to suggest the "evolution" sense. 7 years ago comcastjonm commented on #21 Withdrawn I'm intrigued by this design as well. Again: like the use of the full color palette. The curved lines again suggest movement and dynamism, which is great. The movement they suggest is currently circular (spinning in place?), although the group represents progress/evolution/acceleration, so perhaps a version that suggests movement in a single/cohesive direction? 7 years ago comcastjonm commented on #18 Withdrawn I like the use of the full color palette, and the "clean" look of this design--the members of the department are mostly professional software engineers, so this feels like it evokes professionalism/excellence well. I also like the slanted boxes, which suggest movement/dynamism. Could you think of some alternative design elements that evoke evolution/transformation or acceleration somehow? 7 years ago
