Thanks for reviewing my entries. I was a bit rushed since I just saw the contest about 3 hours before the first phase ended. I wanted to show the boat going left to right as is more traditional since our eye want to go left to right. However, Ryan was kind enough to point out that for these lobster boats portside would have an open cabin.
Any, I flipped a couple of the designs around and I can make that change or redraw the boat showing the correct portside view. Initially I was going to do an illustration (not cartoonish) of both Seth and Tucker. I located a photo of each (at least I think it's them - one was from the Linkedin page and Tuckers photo was on Tumblr.) I ended up not doing them because, I would need to know that they own the photos and that I have their permission to use it.
I still can do a version, but I would need the OK. Please feel free to make revisions. keep in mind that the contest is now in Top 5 so a designer must be ranked within the top 5 (that's designers, not necessarily the top 5 entries.)
OK, I uploaded a few version based on first ranked and added your illustrations. I based the illustrations and your images, so you can get an idea of a potential logo. These were a bit low resolution so it was a bit harder to work with them (when I enlarged the pictures to get a closer look, I would get too much pixilating so with what I had, I winged it a bit for the comps.) Anyway we can redraw them later with any photos you prefer. BTW - Nice shooting Seth. Ya, it's from your Youtube channel. :)
Anyway, I also wanted to work on the current logo #66 ... any suggestions or anything you would like to see? Color version maybe? You name it - just let me know.
Was the contest opened up again? I don't think anyone was informed so probably no one was working on it. You might want to inform admin to let other know otherwise the contest will go into judging again with no new designs. :)
