#60 and #61 are two great choices, but I would like a quick easy change if you have time. Could you remove the little camp fire on the bottom of both? I've narrowed down the choices to the 16 best. Between me, and our client, we will pick our winner from these.
Also some new concepts... I really like the "compass" touch for a couple of these. Gives it a bit of "off the grid" feeling, which is what your customers are seeking..
I like the compass touch too. I will have to sort through all the designs and see if I need anymore tweaks. I'll probably get back with everyone tomorrow.
Our client really likes your "compass" design. Can you show me what it would look like against black? The type and compass will have to be changed to white, or light greyscale.
Thank you for the quick revisions! Our client is happy with the edits. Just have a couple more that we would like for #149 1. Can you make the background a fading sunset, similar to #139. they really like that effect and so do I. 2. Make the business name white 3. Remove the glare effect on the compass graphic.
If you need to adjust the outline of the compass to match the white text please feel free. Or show both versions. Let me know if you have any questions. Great job!
#150 | What I love about this graphic from a marketing perspective is that it reaches a large audience. Here at the coast we have RV campsites....at the lake you have RV campsites...safe goes for Mountains...Green spaces...etc.
All of these are incorporated in this one graphic.
#150 looks great. We like the white font. Could we see a version without sun rays in the back ground? Just the faded color like in example #139. We just want to compare the two. Great job and thanks again!
#151 | I think this works better. The rays may be to much. Although that is certainly in the eye of the beholder. The rays are layered, so they could use them in some applications and choose not to in others.
FYI, I'm heading out of state today...will be settled in this evening, If you need anything else just drop a note and I will tke care of it at that time.
Thanks again...the feedback is great. (As you know in this business that is key)
#152 is a corrected file. (The current one... #151 ...has a small gray line at the bottom) you can just switch the two and delete the one with the error.
Paul, It looks like the one with the rays (#150) is our client's first choice. I just need to show them a version of that one (with rays) how it will work on a white background. Similar to #147. Please make sure the text and the compass have enough contrast on white. Not black though. (See how #147 has the two-tone triangle shapes? Maybe one of the greys can be slightly darker.
If you can do me a favor and fix the "white box" that you used to crop some of the shapes. (Fix with the Pathfinder tool in Illustrator) In other words, subtract the parts of the elements that don't show.
If you don't understand what I'm asking, let me know.
And, for finals, If you can save me an Illustrator file and the JPGs. I don't need the EPS file. And right in the Illustrator file, please label the RGB and CMYK color values.
OK...The right file is uploaded. I added the color values as well. Sorry about that. Also the site only allows one 1000x800 JPG. If you need others just let me know and I will email them to you directly. Also as mentioned above, if you need the one with the white wordmark for the dark backgrounds let me know, an I can email that as well.
Please fix all of your overlapping shapes. When I look at the 1st Choice RV logo in Illustrator (In "outline mode"), there are a bunch of shapes that disappear behind other shapes that need to be fixed. ("Subtract" the part of the shapes that don't show, I don't want to see any shapes that overlap because I would end up having to fix them).
Also, when I open the logo, it says I'm missing a font called "Clarity".
Another thing, the right "compass point elements don't line up. If you look closely, you'll see the light grey and dark grey come to 2 separate points. Please fix this, and make sure that anything else that should line up, does.
Last... Any 2 or more shapes that touch each other, that are the same color, should be combined into one shape.
Sorry I'm nitpicking, but I'm a 23 year user of Illustrator and I know that all of these changes would end up coming back and biting me in the rear. I could fix them, but that is what we are paying you for.
Once you make all of the fixes, I'll approve the project.
I get it. I'm the same way...generally on the crowdsource sites we are doing it for the minimum, for customers looking for a jpeg and a smile. So the pay doesn't constitute to much detail work.(time).
Yours was a better paying contest and frankly the bad habit created by the lower paying contests carried over. I am in Raleigh on a project all day today. As soon as I get back this evening (or in the AM not sure yet) I will wrap it up.
Paul, Thanks! I'm just sorry that we aren't able to pay you more. These crowdsource sites are great for clients, (Hey, let's help the 1% be more successful...) but just help water down the value of good design. I'm a designer too (since 1980). I am only using this because I have to.
Agree. It is the future I'm afraid...great community here though. Some pretty talented folks who really care about the customer....so that is an attraction to me.
Again, bear with me, I'll get it clean and polished ASAP.
