Hello and thank you for the invitation. Sorry I'm so late I was kind of busy. Here is my first idea. I have a couple more but feedback is vital for me to do my best in this contest. Again, thank you!
I like the 1 in the negative space as an idea, #158, #159 and #160 being the ones that I like the most...
#152, #153, #156, #157 are well executed but I don't feel them strong enough, as I don't like that much the clock, the calendar, the bordered lettering.
Could you further elaborate on the negative one idea and eventually propose completely different concepts?
I like the idea of your latest entries: #158, #235 and #231
Especially #158, very clean and the 1 in the beginning is great
I don't like the font. Could you make variants and maybe a further improvement of #158 and maybe #235 (but more #158 style for the writing) using VAG rounded (to reconnect to mobc3 brand) and Myriad Pro?
On the idea that 'less is more', here are my next entries. Left out all the web 2.0 effects to make the logo less crowded and more memorable, but I can add to the design to give it the web 2.0 look afterwards if you are set on that:) Thank you.
This is something different. At least to help you see things from other angles rather than just the web 2.0 shiny p.o.v. Comments and suggestions are appreciated. Thank you!
Your #257 is beautiful and now my 3rd favourite (but it's really hard to say, in a sense for me is number 1)... you could:
- try to solve the origin of the negative one figure issue (the lower left point) to make the "missing" 1 more evident - make "powered by mobc3" in black or a little bit darker and a little bit (maybe, but up to you) shorter so not to be perceived outside the "min" width boundaries (just a matter of pixels...)
if i let the slogan only under 'min', it will appear too small and will overpowered completely by '1minapp'. This is the best solution i think. The dot also creates a subtle connection between the slogan and the main name.
#316 is our favourite #315 nice but the grays are a bit sad... :) #312 too heavy
maybe... maybe... you could:
Further improve the already great #316 by
- not using the shine/glossy effect (I mean as in #294 compared to #295) to make the logo cleaner (but I'm not completely sure) - getting rid of the dot (yes, I understood your point but still not convinced)... or connect it better making it the dot the pivotal element of the figure... I mean that the vertex close to the point of the shape has something that I don't completely like... . finally, as for the shape, I'm still not sure if it's better to have a smoothly degrading set of colors, many rounded bars, or solid gray (or orange?)...
I will improve on my design but I have to tell you that anyone using a 1 in negative space is just copying my design and I will start logo court against him. That is why people don't submit great designs until the last day because designers steal concepts, like graphixsphere. So I urge you to support my concept which I introduced to this competition and with which I will develop further. Thank you !
