Here are some ideas, please don't limit yourselves to these ideas -- I am just throwing some stuff out there -- you may have better ideas that I never even considered. :)

Picket Fence
Tree with Tire swing
Old style door knob

Squirrel <-- this is just because I like squirrels. If you feel inspired to do something with a squirrel great - but please don't only present things with a squirrel.

Because some websites have place holders that are square or round, the logo should have perhaps the ability to be square or a square element that can be taken from the overall design. (I hope that makes some sense.)

I also like whimsical, fun things, but need to be a little bit careful with that because this is the biggest purchase (or sale) of someone's life, so I don't want to give the impression that I am treating the transaction lightly.

I was out and about today and saw a laundromat sign that I really liked- it was retro/vintage.

One comment - Please add some black to some of the ideas for some contrast.
Also -- I realized that I plan to have this logo etched on items (glasses, knives, etc) so it will need to "read" in black and white/gray scale. (Not sure of the resolution on etching, engraving, so it may only be black and white.)

Everyone - quick update --
I may be requesting an extension as I am getting all sorts of different opinions and while many of these are "close", none of them really jump out as being "the one".
I do have a logo I have been using for just myself and thought that maybe something totally different would be in order, which is why I didn't post my current logo earlier. But now I'm considering a re-work on the current logo. Please check the contest brief.

Everyone -- this has been a really, really hard decision. So many wonderful logos were submitted and I really appreciate everyone that took the time to submit. This was a great experience and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this method to people looking for a logo. You are all talented artists. :)
