We really like number #116, specifically the concept of the door in the exclamation point is a really creative way to show. At the same time, we sell more of than doorbells. We sell wireless door chimes, lighting, and other home improvement products for the Do-it-Yourself person. Those who are going to purchase our products and install them in their home.
With #116 we like the exclamation point because it is different, creative, and can stand alone as well as with the words "1800doorbell." It might be a little too informal, whimsical....I am struggling to come up with the words though, which I know does not help you too much :)
Thanks Bordo....doing a logo for a company that sells doorbells and door chimes is challenging because we don't want anything that looks like a typical bell (taco bell type). A simple door doesn't seem to be doing the trick either. On first glance, #116 seems a little too whimsical for us but it has grown on is a bit. I wish I could put my finger on exactly on dislike with the logo; whimsical is about all I could come up with.
We have a couple of variations of #225 we would ask you to do. They could look great or be ridiculous but worth a try :) 1) Can you put 1800doorbell together and replace the "1" with the door/exclamation point? Almost making it look like this !800doorbell 2) Leave #225 as it is now but rotate the door so the button is on top. Not sure how it would come out, could look better with the door straight but I we could see.
Thank you. I will discuss this with everyone tomorrow morning once everyone is back in the office. One more request. Can you do #231 but move the door to the end and put the one back? I guess we were trying to see how it would look if 1800doorbell were written out together...maybe it would look better with the door back at the end with the words together side-by-side
The only other thing we would ask is that is we move forward with this logo, would you be able to give us a few different color combinations? We have not100% decided on a color pallet and don't want to get stuck. Knowing what we sell and what we are looking for, if you have any suggestions on colors that would be nice.
I will try to create new variations now and submit in next five minutes. About color variations, I will provide you all color combinations that you like on your mail, in multiply formats too. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
#225 is the one we are leaning towards. Are using Adobe Illustrator? If so, would be able to get the source file and the eps from you should you win the contest.
OK, final request. Can you let us see #225 with the dark background as in #240. That would give us a white background version and a dark background version.
We have decided on the final version(s) we would like to see:
- One version with a white background - One version with a dark background - Use the 'sound wave' style from entry #243 - Use the 'thin line border' on door / doorbell from entry #225
One of these should be the winning logo, and if possible, we would like to keep both of them for our usage.
