What We Do

The Ike Dike concept is a coastal storm surge barrier designed to prevent a human and economic tragedy of epic proportions by protecting human life, property, businesses, the complex eco-system and the massive global trade, transportation and energy infrastructure of the Houston/Galveston Bay region in Texas from a direct hit by the next category 3 or 4 hurricane to strike the Galveston, Texas coastal area.
