The ÉtoileLogo Design Contest

Hi there,

Hope your having a good week so far?

Here is one of my concepts. I've gone for something that's fairly clean and simple, yet striking. Creating an icon that works well within the logo or as a stand alone element, one that can be used for things like favicons or watermarks.

The logo is 100% vector so will scale well to any size, and works well in full colour, B&W and on coloured backgrounds if needed,

It would be my pleasure to work up any variations so please do say.
I look forward to your comments or thoughts.

It has a great feel to the letters, clean but very elegant.

Could you clarify what you mean for #14, sorry, I'm not quite sure what you mean?
Do you want me to change the shape of the individual stars to a proper star shape?

Actually I think I know what you mean ...

Do you mean make the current icon (which looks like a diamond of stars) into 1 star shape (of many smaller stars)?

#55 - "E" in the middle of the star

Hi Akane,

Aah ok, I see. I'm afraid since a designer has already created that "concept" / direction (#49, #47 etc), means that they own the right to develop that idea. In other words we are not allowed to copy someone else direction, sorry that's the rules here :)

But I can develop my #14 ...

Hi Akane,

Well you can definitely use the star icon on its own ... Because its unique like no other star, it means it will stand out and be recognised. It can also then be used for things like watermarks, favicons etc. it can be supplied on its own as a separate file if needed.

If you'd like to see any other changes please do ask.

Hi Akane,

Not a problem, here they are: #90 and #91.

I think #91 has turned out really nicely, its a solid icon that can be used on its own, and the star is very unique. It almost represents all arrows (negative space black arrows) pointing to the middle star ... in other words The Étoile is the place to come, the best the One Star.
