Hi Athy,

I really like your style. The logo looks very classy which is good. I am not sure if people who don't know would recognize the pictorial element as binoculars. Maybe adding a little bit of a binocular's body would help... . Maybe a telescope would be even better!

I would love to see a logo in your style using a trailmarker with arrows pointing down to the left and right (so it evokes the impression as if they were pointing toward the person looking at the logo). Would there be room for a white painted word on each of them?

In case that doesn't inspire you, how about hands splashing water and the word "Panamá" towards the person looking at the logo ...

I hope you don't mind that I am throwing different ideas at you, just choose the one(s) that you feel most confortable with.

THANKS A LOT !

Hello schilbert. Can you explain a little? What exactly is a trailmaker? Do you mean the backpack or what? Thanks for the feedback

Client
Ups, sorry. A trailmarker is a signpost indicating the way. The one I have in mind is out of wood and has different arrows pointing in different directions. I will look on the Internet and see if I can send you a link ...

#94 Compared to the style of the rest of the logo, the people are too thin. It looks as if they are going to a census or something like that (too serious!). How about two or three (stronger) silhouettes of dynamic and fun people. They could be throwing their arms up in the air to party, the could be splashing water (in the sunset), I leave it up to your imagination...

Hello schilbert. I think I understand what you are looking for, but being a designer I can imagine ahead of time how a logo could be, and you have to choose something that doesn't compromise your purpose, because choosing a trailmarker and a backpack etc will make it crowded as you have seen in one or two of my submissions. Your comments on my last submission totally make sense and I will try to spice it up a.s.a.p
Thank you for the constant feedback, other CH's should follow your example.
Thanks again

You could put the trailmaker on the right and the travel bag, just at the bottom next to it, as if someone has just dropped it there. And then "Vive Panamá" next to it. That would probably be cleaner ...

Hello, this is a new concept representing a sunset and how the sun reflects in the water. The colors and the pictoral mark suggest excitement and exploring.

I've applied these colors to the initial logo and figured this would be the best layour scheme for the logo.

Hi Athy,
thanks for your new submissions and for considering our suggestions. On the result, we "chewed" quite a lot, we think this is mainly because the dimensions are not well - chosen and the logos look too cartoonish. Therefore, it is probably best to go back to simple. Could you send #90 with the silhouettes of two or three people moving/ or throwing up their arms in the sun (instead of the back packer)? That could be a winner...

Could you also give a colour variation for the sun, with a orange or red.
THANKS.

Hi again.I hope you like my new submissions. My direction all along was to create the excitement you are looking for through color and concept. The signpost I designed was intentionally created to suggest exotic locations, not a mere straight lines(contour) trailmarker. I inserted the silhouettes into my other designs so that the logo can communicate and create emotion for the audience. I think I aceived that through designing a dynamic logo lless than a static one.
Thank you for the feedback and any suggestions you may have I am available till the end of the contest.
Thank you!

#155 Hi Alex, thanks for your new submission and good communication. We like the silhouette of the person "cheering towards the sun". Could it be two persons? You are the designer, so maybe you know how to add another person, so it still looks good and is recognizable. Two persons, arm in arm, cheering towards the sun? Would it be possible to put a brown travel bag (as in the attachment of my brief) in front of it, just where the piece that would make the sun round is missing? I would like to use the fond and size of the words vice versa. The word "Vive" needs to be dynamic and red (I had specified that earlier and some of the top ranked logos have it) and the word "Panamá" needs to be more bold and dark blue with a footprint.

For the colour variations for the sun, I was referring to orange or red ... not brown as in #158

THANKS.

Unfortunately the logo will look crowded for two reasons. The usage of more than two or three colors and the fact that there are two many objects and focus points within it. That is maybe why you don't have any luck with the trailmarker and travel bag concept. Anyway, here are some of the things I've done.
Thank you
Alex

#160 and #161 Cool !! Very well done. The words are almost perfect already. Only comments, maybe the footprint would look better in the "M". It needs to be recognisable (as in #90). The accent needs to be a tad higher.

The pictorial element: Could you please be so kind and send two versions as follows:
#160 The silhouettes of the persons in such a way that they have their arm on eachothers shoulder (could be a couple, could be friends cheering at the sunset).
#161 Try to make the bag bigger, so it fills out the blank space of the sun and put it a lighter uni-colour brown. Ideally, the silhouettes of the person would have the same shape as described above (in arms). Not sure, if this is possible without loosing the proportions. Please try.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH !!

Hi,
I will give it a try. Thanks. Will upload shortly

HI, thanks a lot. #196 looks very good already (can't see your version with the bag). Just some finetuning on this one, could you achieve the person to look a bit more excited/ dynamic, maybe their upper body could lean back a bit, such as in submission hundred ninety seven.

"Vive" could move up a bit, so the pictorial element could be a bit better and hence, better to recognize. Please make the colours of both words, the red and the blue a bit lighter/ friendlier. We were told that at the moment the colours look a bit "dirty".

Last tiny detail. We need to make the footprint as recognisable as posible. Could you add an extra white spot in the middle of the footprint, maybe it will then be even better.
THANK YOU.

#199 is very good, maybe the red can still be a bit ligher, but we can do that later. Now, it all comes down to the (in)famous travel bag which would replace the blue line (which might be seen by some as the oposite to a smile) in order to really relate it to travel and give it the perfect final touch ...

Here's something. We can work on this

#202 proofs that this arrangement is possible and it can look great !! Only thing, we don't like the bag at all. It needs to be light brown. The other indications, I have already given to you ... it needs to be a elegant light brown travel bag ... you can take out the neck strap. Can you still come up with ...

Yeah sure. And if I'm still #1 after the contest ends, I can further submit entries. I will however upload something right away. Thank you!

Athy, thanks a lot. We want to give the runner up a chance to submit a final (signpost) logo, so we have temporarily moved him to no. one. If you can deliver another cool bag (brown still needs to be lighter) let me know and we will move you to number one.

Thanks.

Athy, thanks a lot. Your logo looks very good. If you could just make the pictorial element a bit bigger, it would be just perfect. We have two very good logos now with two different concepts. We will ask a small committee to vote for their favourite and take a decision in the next days.

Thanks again for your great work !!

Athy,

just wanted to personally say thank you for your great work. As the rules are today, there can be only one winner and it is probably disappointing to you that we chose another one. We think, however, that there are very few designers who are so persistent and ready to adopt the customers requirements as yourself. So no wonder you are so well ranked and we are sure you will win lots of contests in the future.

Thanks you.
