Hi, here is my initial entry for your consideration. I went with something a bit conceptual as opposed to something graphics heavy and design dependent. I'd love your feedback. I think this logo says something about thinking outside the box. Thanks!

Interesting. I had to look twice before I saw what you did. I like that it's so simple, yet has a creative bent to it. Very very simple and clean, but looks nice. Hmmmm.... not sure... but I'm liking a certain aspect of this!

I checked out some of your other designs... as a whole, I really like your style. Sort of a professional elegance and simplicity to them. Anyway, I really like the one you presented here. It's probably slightly too basic looking as of now. Maybe it's just the white on black... not sure. But I LOVE what you did with the "%ercent" That looks great!

Hi Terry. I'm so glad that you liked the typography with the %ercent part of your company name. I have to say I think it's pretty cool myself!

I understand your hesitance about the simplicity of it, but I would like to point out that in logo design, the best brands tend to be ultra simple. I think simplicity is important with a logo like the one I'm offering because to make the design of it too complex, I think, would only detract from the effect. However, I think there's definitely more we can do with this without letting it get too complex. I've uploaded a new variation for you to think about. #59 stacks the company name in a block, and I've done the lettering in white on a rectangular background in the red that you like from your current logo. I used a gradient effect on the rectangle, and I think the shape does remind me of a tag from a towel or t-shirt without being a literal tag. With #60, I added a line below the block to show what it could look like to include a tagline of some sort. Of course, this text can be changed to suit your needs.

I'd love to hear your feedback to see if I'm headed in the right direction! Many thanks!

Yes, this is definitely in the right direction, and I appreciate your advice on design. I really like the font you chose and I love the red and the black. I also like how it looks with the optional TAG as I wasn't even thinking about that, but it looks very nice and balanced there too! I think I wasn't picturing something quite this simple at first, which is why I'm debating, yet surprised I like it so much. I want to project creativity... but I also want a certain solid elegance to it. And this seems close. I still feel like I'm leaning toward the other one with the fancy zeros that I currently have ranked in first position. But damn... this one really surprised me.

Hi Terry! Here are a couple of additional iterations for you to chew on. These are a little more complex, though not terribly, and maybe even strengthen the feel of being a label. Thanks!

Yes, you're right, I think I like it more complex like this! I'm feeling it at the moment!

Lindsey, having never done this logotournament process before, if you end up being the final designer, can I change the "tag" you have at the bottom of the square? Or do I need to have the exactly how I want it now? I'm not sure if I want it to say "a terence michael production" or "a television production company" for example. And I hate to have you do extra designs if you're not the final design. Does that make sense?

Hi Terry. The tagline is definitely something that can be changed. If you decide to select my design, you can ask me for variations during the judging phase of the contest. This is when the contest closes to new submissions, but before you declare an official winner. During the judging phase, the designer ranked first can upload additional submissions based on your requests for fine-tuning the logo. If you haven't decided by then what tagline you'd like, it would be very easy for me to provide you with options in the final logo file. Or if you want to continue thinking about it, you could always get in touch with me down the road for a variation, which I would be happy to provide. The tagline would be a very easy thing to change (it would only take a few minutes).

That said, I do not know if it's something you could change on your own, because it would require you to have the software to edit the file.

Thank you Lindsey, for explaining that to me. So helpful! I was nervous that this had to be completely locked and that was that. Okay you're new #124 is really awesome! Aesethically, I suspect you like the earlier designs better. I just like that the "o" in cloth is somewhat of a screen or television? Just adds another dimension, and a little clue as to what the company does. So thank you for this! Gives me something to think about.

Without getting to hokey, is there a way to make the screen in #124 appear SLIGHTLY more like a screen? Like, without a doubt, that's a TV screen?

Okay this is now getting damn close!!! #128 and #130, I love how you have evolved the "o" now into some kind of screen or TV. On 128, the image is just so small I can't really tell what is there. Are those supposed to be like premiere lights? Without changing anything on that, can I just see a larger version? Otherwise, I really like #130!!! Here's one more option (if you don't mind... forgive me)... is it possible to see one of these with the main outside perimeter with slightly coped/rounded corners? Right, now it's so sharp, and I'm wondering if it would look better if it paralleled the "o" in Cloth. So it's still essentially a rectangle, but the corners aren't so sharp. I could be wrong, but maybe an option? Thanks Lindsey!

Oh yeah! And in #128, the image on the screen is like TV bars, but not in multiple colors like usual.

Thanks Lindsey. Okay, I'm DONE asking for anything from you ;) I've decided that if I do go with your approach, it might be a combination of something you have here (like the curves of 148, but maybe the design of 130, but then without the tag "terence michael production" -- more simple like #59). I'm just still torn between yours on the other designer I keep ranking high. Both totally different. But you've certainly done more than enough for me to figure this out now. Thanks for all your hard work on this!
