Slogan
A hub for action items and education to preserve habitat and biodiversity.
What We Do
10 x 10 + 10 is a project that stems from ideas generated by the December 2016 Bee Audacious conference (www.beeaudacious.org) and combines the goals of restoring and protecting pollinator habitat / biodiversity as well as creating a broader alliance to better advocate for pollinators. Name comes from challenge to participants: create 10' x 10' space for pollinators and donate $10 to regional project restoring habitat.
Color Preferences
Colors that will make people think of habitat / land. In original drafts (see below) green, yellow and blue were used. While I liked the concept of this combination, the specific colors used were perhaps not the best.
Prefer to use colors that bees can see. That would exclude red, grey and black from use.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
See attached draft logo: It uses colors in the spectrum that bees see. And the curved lines at the top and bottom represent the idea that we need to work from the top down and the bottom up to solve this problem. I’ve used American Typewriter as font to represent our need to reverse course and restore habitat that has been lost in recent decades.
I like the general concept for this design, but draft versions didn't quite hit the mark.
Keep in mind: one prominent location that the logo might be used is for signs to post in 10 x 10 + 10 participant gardens. We would leave space at the bottom of the sign where groups / companies promoting 10 x 10 + 10 could use their logo.
