uncommon is an entrepreneurship speaker series hosted by the MSU Research Foundation in Michigan. We invite startup founders, faculty researchers, and innovation directors from corporates to participate as speakers to talk about their business/product/project sharing the successes they made along the way and challenges they encountered and are currently facing to seek guidance and feedback from the community of peers. These events are hosted in incubator facilities in a casual environment over coffee and donuts. The target audience is entrepreneurship support organizations, university and college students, startups, university faculty, local chamber, civic leaders, and corporates.

The MSU Foundation is focused on helping Michigan State University achieve its objectives around economic development through the commercialization of intellectual property created by its faculty, staff, and students.
