Secret Chaperone is a web based safety application utilizing the smart phone technolgy that allows you the peace of mind when meeting strangers or traveling to new locations. It will allow you to notify emergency contacts if and when you are in an unsafe situation when meeting new people. Here is how it works: Just log the date and time frame of your rendezvous in the calendar based application with the information about your destination and acquaintance. Once you've met your companion and you know your appointment is going well, just log back in and end the encounter saying that all is fine. At that time no one will be notified. But if the appointment time that you have designated has passed and you've not yet checked in, Secret Chaperone will send you a text reminder to end the appointment. If for any reason you are unable to check in and end your meeting after 15 minutes, Secret Chaperone will text two people you have listed as your emergency contacts for that specific rendezvous. The message you set up will notify them of the time and destination of your appointment and a request for them to contact you. Thus, providing you with a sense of security if the unforeseen happens and only when necessary
